Last of 5 in day and of 3- Hump walk, came from The Camp, used forest track from GR397688. Found no gate out of forest at top, had to climb fence. My 1200th Hump!!IanHHill19/02/2024
Should of done this one back in 2017 when I visited pillar.Dusty23/05/2023
This still goes well from 396688, space to park where end of forest track is wide. I walked up to the winding track contouring Burnt Coppice and enjoyed views from opened woodland before ascending a wide path (old track?) to the gate where the double bbw fencing is saggy enough to straddle with the protection of an old fleece-easily over field to HP,returned by same wide path then turned R on forest track and continued walk round valley, sloping down Lodge Wood back. Nice walk in sunshine btw thunderstorms.pwheeler05/05/2023
From the forest entrance to the South then an obvious footpath to an old bwf into field. Two new bwf's to climb just at the trig, then another field to high point.NormanW21/05/2022
Lovely walk up from Wigmore past the castle and through the woods.Alex C14/05/2021
From the S on forest roads and paths through nice mixed woodland. Summit field with peacefully grazing sheep and cows. Indistinct high point, first rain for weeks!RichardM27/04/2021
Trig just to the west of summit..vegibagger04/11/2020
Parked at the end of the forest track at SO 3971 6885. Followed the track right after about 240m, then right again after another 360m, and immediately right again, heading up to milimana's refs (SO 39608 69732) where a good narrow path goes through to the boundary fence. Pleasant wooded walk. Finally across pasture to the summit.LizH18/08/2020
There's space for a few cars at the forest entrance at SO397689. Head up the main track, fork R after 600m and again immediately after and follow the ascending track as it curves up. A narrow path leaves this at SO 39608 69732 which leads to the boundary fence of the top pasture. Delightful woodland with silver-washed fritillaries and wood whites in abundance.milimana07/08/2020
Parked on roadside in Wigmore - Up road past the church & then track & pleasant woodland path up to the NW corner of the summit field where the barbed wire fence is sagging - Straddled fence & then up over sheep pasture the unmarked summit mound. (S)gerrybowes14/05/2020
From SW plenty of forest tracks both wide and narrow.Adrian08/11/2019

From church CP at Adforton to north. Direct route up thru' wood exists and only a tad overgrown. Nice walk up.carole engel18/08/2015
Parked in village then up via churchyard, castle and woodland edge to summit.Chris Peart14/08/2014
From Wigmore, climbed via the castle which added a little interest to another woodland walk.rhalstead30/03/2014
Parked in Castle car park on Ford Street. Made small mistake of taking path skirting castle to N necessitating an interesting scramble up steep, wet, wooded slopes to gain path at top of ridge. Easy walk from there. Vocal locals (Herefordshire cattle) in field at summit, just inquisitive really. Returning path came through middle of castle and out the front gate - more interesting and safer! Some discrepancy between summit GR and OS 288m spot height. On the ground it's obvious that spot height is the true summit.jonglew17/11/2013
Parked by the church in Wigmore. Quiet ascent via the castle (had the place to myself) to the highest point and the trig point.JohnStoneham05/08/2012
Parked at 397689 and followed the forest track north until taking the right fork and climbing round the zig zags. Headed west thro wood and over fence to top.andrew brown15/07/2012
Parked by the pub in village then walked through the church yard, castle and up the side of wood to bag top and trig. Some horny old vocal Hereford X cows and calves in field.Dugswell226/11/2011
Parked on road. Through farmyard onto an upper track with horses, through a gate and up on grass to the top at 10.05 Column 7901 at 286m was on a large concrete base in a hedge.arranc25/08/2011
P on S side of wood. Track to Burnt Coppice-N-W then E. Along boundary then into field. Way back found path SW to track which saved a lot of time.chrisbien20/07/2011
From SO401710.New fence around the field at top with two strands of barbed wire, but atleast the cows were friendly :-)heavyhorses17/06/2011
Parked at Wigmore church. Followed track all the way.destaylor04/01/2011
