Parked in small layby at SO 5969 4313. Followed track up and around towards the top. Trig is inside fenced off area next to another fenced area containing the radio tower. Seemed like the trig was pretty such the highest point. Around 10 mins from the layby to the top, but can be extended by following track towards Westhide. | Droplet7494 | 13/03/2024 |
Parked in Small Layby (SO 5969 4313) Along Road then followed track to High Point and Trig (partially collapsed Barb wire fence can be stepped over to get to trig. | Iris Jephcote | 12/02/2024 |

From small lay-by near Castle Farm up the track clockwise to mast/Trig and summit. | N.Morters | 10/02/2024 |
As others from the small lay-by on the A4103. Round trip starting at the track to the SW. Mown tracks in the woods but brambles and nettles returning using the RoW. | Newton Maximus | 14/07/2022 |
Parked in small lay-by on A4103 described by gerrybowes. Walked SW to unmarked PROW heading up and towards the hill. High point just beyond Trig in derelict fenced enclosure. There is a heavily locked galvanised hatch marking on top of the knowl, probably a resevoir. | Pete West | 15/02/2022 |
As others, from the old school. | tim747 | 02/02/2022 |

From layby at 587425. Up road then on little ridge above dis. quarry- great view and route. HP, then loop round on track and back on RoW that starts at Westhide. A nice 55 mins. | pwheeler | 04/09/2020 |
Here for the trigpoint and looking at the track log, highpoint also crossed.

TP:UK log: With coinea. Parked in lay-by near SO 59694 43129 and walked down to public footpath which we followed all the way to the trigpoint. CBM on house at the start. Trig in a very overgrown area inside a fallen down fenced compound so easy enough to get to other than the vegetation. | thejackrustles | 04/08/2020 |
As per Gerry Bowes | Ramblingpaul | 30/07/2020 |
Parked in small layby (2 cars) to S. at SO 5969 4313 - SW alongside road for about 100m, turned right & NW & then W. up RoW (vehicle track) up to 3rd track junction at 5924 4316 - Turned right & NE to high point of vehicle track close to mast. (S) | gerrybowes | 02/06/2020 |
Handy to be able to cycle it right up here. Views quite poor, but still pleasant enough to take an hour out of your day to come and visit here. | Alex C | 09/12/2019 |
A nice little circular walk from the old school. | jenx | 01/01/2019 |
With Jenx and Bryher. Long way round on permissive path past bungalow and chat with owner. Interesting high point/trig. | nordicstar | 01/01/2019 |
Up track from S&SW trig with low bramble on reservoir top easily accessible as fence is broken down | vegibagger | 30/12/2018 |
With K from road end at White Hill. Woman working in old school was friendly when we parked up. Did V-shaped route to north and back. | Ashley | 14/07/2018 |
Parked as Richard & Denise, NW on good track, then doubling back to the top. Nice and easy this one. Descended E on FP - lots of wild daffodils here. | milimana | 10/03/2017 |
From the E with good parking on the old road at White Hill. Flock of Fieldfare in orchard. Grassy summit topped by small covered reservoir and 2 comms masts. | RichardM | 28/01/2017 |
Pleasant walk from old school house on old road to SE. Trig is HP on top of grass covered reservoir with 2 mobile phone aerials either side within clearing amongst woods. Current natural HP appears to be between trig and track but indistinct on generally level top. | Denise | 28/01/2017 |
Company: Mrs D and Jake the Black Lab. | iandesbottes | 16/10/2016 |
Staying in cottage on Westside Est. Nice easy walk up to summit. Company: Jake the Black Lab. | iandesbottes | 11/10/2016 |
Parked in Layby further SW along main road. FP signed up a track which was followed all the way to the top. Trig seemed higher than track. | PeterD | 07/08/2016 |
Up from the lay by by the ROW. Only thing to watch for is the gap that the path takes through some scrub out of the first steep field you find yourself in. With Bev. | simon and co | 17/04/2015 |
Parked in the layby opposite Garford Farm and picked the wrong path up through the wood. My path was clearly a deer path as I was forced to duck under low branches. Found the much easier proper path for the route down. | Herbert Anchovy | 12/01/2015 |
6/8 followed previous peak baggers instructions and parked at lay bay near abandoned truck quick hop up hill through forest to trig pillar beside telecommunications tower | Fergalh | 15/12/2014 |
From small layby on A4103 followed track to the top. The trig looks like the top to me. | Chris Peart | 20/10/2014 |
From Shucknall, simple up and down on good paths. | rhalstead | 19/07/2014 |
Parked on a small road just off the A4103. A shortish walk to the summit on a permissive path by the side of an apple orchard (probably grown for cider as they tasted foul!). Paths confusing across the top of the hill as they are quite different from those marked on the OS 1:25k. Can't get lost up here as it's too small an area. Good views north over much of Herefordshire. | jonglew | 03/11/2012 |
The highest point is definitely at the trig point, not 30m north. Has the trig point been moved? | JohnStoneham | 18/03/2012 |
Parked at village hall and took footpath through orchard, then off piste thro wood to gain summit in fenced off area on reservoir. | Dugswell2 | 14/09/2011 |
There are currently 444 English HuMPs. This was my 443rd. One to go. However, in the meantime let's finish Wales and IOM. | Martin R | 24/08/2011 |
P599433. Couldn't find the ROW heading N after a few 100m. Back to field ROW NW then SW then swinging up to the top. | chrisbien | 17/07/2011 |
Small lay-by on A4193 at SO 59683 43128. Walked 150m along road to track/prow then as Ted Richards (thanks for info). Highest point is 3m NE of Trig on top of fenced off underground reservoir but highest 'natural' ground is 30m N in middle of track | David Gradwell | 28/04/2011 |
I parked on the short section of old road to the east of the hill. The bridleway then took me north through wood before cutting back on itself to climb the hill to the trig in a small fenced area on top of reservoir. | Father Ted | 25/02/2011 |
From cut in on road by '99' on map. Followed path but soon gone due to tree felling. Top grassy and pleasant. | destaylor | 11/09/2010 |
through woods from A4103 | arranc | 15/04/2010 |
