Last place in NT CP but more dogs than people on the hill.Newton Maximus16/01/2024
From the NT car park off main road to SW. Very popular with dog walkers. Path leads onto open grassy common grazzed by cows – site of Iron Age fort. A few clumps of gorse and crab apple trees. Very fine view from the E edge with Isle of Portland visible in distance. High point in pasture at N end of plateau.RichardM23/09/2023
As gerrybowes, plus the trig (hidden on the way up by trees).Minto05/07/2023
Last Hump of 4 today. Good parking at 373993, then up by old path, down by RoW which is the Wessex Ridgeway. We visited cadidate HPs, an earthwork and the trig pt before having a snack off the flat, wide summit area on the E side where we enjoyed views of the highest hills in Dorset and memories of Marilyn bagging there. With brother, Pete. Sunny and warm all day.pwheeler05/06/2023

quick run up from the car park before a caching adventure then Pilsdon Pen on the way home.stagger onward15/10/2022
21:00 At dusk, pretty clear sky risky serene and rather peaceful but slightly strange place in that it's a high HuMP subsidiary of Lewesdon Hill Marilyn and big flattish grassy area with one of two scattered trees but little view on any direction as there's forest along west NW n SW and a row of trees along east side too.vegibagger09/08/2021
National Trust car park at SY 3666 9879 - Through pedestrian gate & followed good path NE alongside woodland - Through gap in rampart to unmarked summit; also stood on high point of rampart. (S)gerrybowes11/05/2021

Sign for Coney's Castle caught my eye for a snap - my son's girlfriend is called Connie. Decided to park up and walk the mile to Lambert's Castle Hill HP down the quiet lane and up handy path. Clearly an old route between the two camps, this added some interest. Fine views had to the east along the bank approaching the top so stay outside the tree line.Pete West21/02/2020
Parked to the North in layby. Easy walk up on footpath to HP & trig. Few harmless cows about.fosal2925/10/2019
Parked at 37320 99370 and followed a path diagonally up the side of the hill before passing through a gate on to open grassland. The nearby earthworks look almost certainly higher than the trig. I know they are man-made but they are a lot older than recently added slag heaps.clivevilla26/03/2019
Goodish parking to North off road under trees in wide hard verge, easy to pick up footpath and stroll up to hill and trig. Some grazing cattle but no probs for Bryher and Jennordicstar16/05/2018

From telephone box on road to the north. Track straight up through the beeches. Flat top crowded with cows. Trig pillar actually had a cow pat sat on the top of it. Why do the N. Trust like cows!!!! ?mick29/08/2013
Visited from holiday cottage at Fishpond Bottom.Pleasant evening stroll.citygent31/05/2013
Up from the telephone box - a very pleasant hill.Chris Peart12/03/2013
an early morning stroll from car park to south, trig nearly missed - pay attention!! weather dull and windy but rain not arrived yet.. views poor today.stig_nest19/11/2012
An easy stroll apart from my daughter Amelia on my shoulders to the summit area. No idea where the high point is. I visited all the contenders. Would suggest the earth bank just about wins. lots of biting insects but great views down to the South Coast especially to Portland.isabelle23/07/2012
Lambert's Castle Hill is all open public access. A trig point, 2m lower than the summit, is located a short distance away. Summit not marked so unable to ascertain it's exact location to get a precise GR.jonglew01/07/2012
NT CP then a stroll in the park.chrisbien22/05/2012
Parked on National Trust CP at SY 36648 98793 (it is along a track not by the road). Easy ascent to trig pillar then to summit on top of earthen ramparts at SY 37123 98906David Gradwell01/04/2012
Parking to W. Top could be anywhere - highest point on the castle wall. Trig point seems as high.destaylor04/08/2011
From NT car park - missed this at first, so drove all round hill. Easy stroll to flat grassy top. Ramparts of hill fort are clearly higher than the trig. Popular place for dog walkers. Cool and cloudy.malcorbett04/05/2011
Charmouth to Broadwindsor - misty on top for me as well. Failed to spot the trig on my initial pass over the summit area, but went back to check it is still there. My impression of HP location is just to the north of the earthworks.Smudge15/01/2011

Easy walk from carpark in the mist. The trig is SW of the fort on the edge of a group of trees but clearly isn't at the highest point.Herbert Anchovy06/10/2009
