A further section of the Wessex Ridgeway and bagged nearby hills on the path or whilst returning to West Lavington. Took a photo of the trig which was located between barns.PhilipChaston21/01/2024
Loop from viewpoint car park. Short section along the road is a bit iffy with not much verge to escape the traffic.squeegs17/10/2023

Large car park at ST 9002 5139 - S. along byway, over padlocked farm gate & across to trig point which lies alongside abandoned farm buildings. (S)gerrybowes13/05/2021
Good walk from Bratton via Combe Hill, Bratton Camp and White Horse viewpoint. The topograph there features Cranmore Hill and Bathford Hill (as Brown's Folly) to delight hillbaggers. Then on to Tinhead Hill, Edington Hill, and Bratton. The most enjoyable walking was on the slopes above Bratton. I tolerated a half mile on the B3098, avoiding it looked a bit convoluted.pwheeler16/10/2020

nipped over the border from Dorset to Wiltshire for this one. Parked at the whitehorse view car park on Bratton Road near Fair View Farm. Walked up to summit on a circuitous route. 6.7km 171m ascent. great views from the top (of Bratton Camp Fort) summit a little disappointing but great walk over all with rain holding off until we got back to the carstagger onward06/06/2020
From large car park to trig near farm buildings. All rather flat.fosal2908/03/2020
Easy to reach from Bratton Camp car park. Not a particularly rewarding hump. The Iron Age hill fort and Westbury white horse certainly make the visit.Pete West17/02/2019
Superb snowy ridge walk from Tinhead Hill in sunshine with great views but disappointing summit within farm compound by trig. Microspikes useful.Denise 02/02/2019
A walk in bright sunshine on snow covered tracks from Tinhead Hill. Summit itself rather disappointing being somewhat level with trig pillar amongst farm debris on N side of White Horse farm barns.RichardM02/02/2019

dawn waking 2-3 km north this, car park near summit, trig in farmyard attractively covered in ivy. also wandered over to see the white horse, made of concrete and black bricks for eyes and with roped fixing points at various places on the top bank so that it can be cleaned and re-painted.vegibagger01/08/2017

Easily bagged from the car park for the white horse. Worth also going up onto the ramparts of the hillfort for the view and looking down on the Westbury White Horse.Swindon Bagger27/07/2015

Parked in layby. I was appalled to discover that the horse was concreted over in the 1950s.clivevilla04/12/2013
Resisted the temptation to park on top and walked up from the B3098 layby.rhalstead05/10/2013
The summit certainly does not do this hill justice. Their may be slightly higher ground a few metres either side of the trig but this may be due to dumping of farm waste. Spent far more time at bratton camp and the westbury horse with the lovely views and sat in the sunshine.hodder22/07/2013
My local hump, explored many times but this was my first visit to the trig.Chris Peart12/03/2013
Very short walk round the buildings and to the trig. Very flat.chrisbien20/05/2012
Bratton Camp much more interesting than the bizarre location of the trig/top.summitsup26/04/2012

Beautiful evening for a drive up and wander, after course at Daunstey's schoolChris Pearson13/04/2010
Walked up bridleway from B3098 to the NW. This is a great hill with fine views, white horse and hill fort although the actual top is far from inspiring - trig was found nestling in nettles behind some unattractive farm buildings!Herbert Anchovy12/06/2009
dullish arable summit, TP in farm yd 35m E of tk, not well mapped on OSLR. can drive +/- to summit, or car pk nearby to NW RHW22/09/2002
