Cairngorm Traverse bus meet of Cairngorm Club. Solo. From car park at Coire Cas. After ascending Fiacaill Coire an t-Sneachda, Stob Coire an t-Sneachda and Beinn MacDuibh. Walked to summit of Carn Etchachan with navigation difficult due to thick mist. I reached nose SW of Loch Etchachan en route. I descended eastwards directly down from the summit of Carn Etchachan following traces of a path through a break in the cliffs. I joined the path coming from the Shelter Stone and followed path past the Hutchison Hut and along Glen Derry. It rained most of the day, but not heavily. There was mist on the tops. It had apparently not rained at Braemar that day.pwbellarby14/09/2003

Talisman rock climb -a remote Classic Rock tick (HS) with Cath Heath - cold rain shower came on at crux -not nice leading esp with sack. Then around a load of tops and back to our camp at Loch Avon- very satisfying combination of a rock climb and tops.Chris Pearson17/07/1991
