Saturday 14th I cycled in from Linn of Dee car park and pitched my tent at the edge of some trees approx. 3km east of the ruined Geldie Lodge. Sunday 15th I headed north on foot ascending the boggy slopes up to the Munro Top of Carn Cloich-mhuilinn (942m). The traverse over to the Munro of Beinn Bhrotain (1157m) was mainly along a path. There was a boulder field to descent before the pathed ascent up to Monadh Mor (1113m), the second Munro of the day, I then ascended the Munro Top of Tom Dubh (918m). From here I descend back to the Allt Luineag and followed this south(ish), then down the east bank of the River Eidart. This section of the walk was brutal, as I had left Tom Dubh at 15:10 and there was no path / break in the bog, so I constantly concerned about the remaining time, in between the heavy showers. Eventually I reached the Glen Feshie to Braemar path and then ‘raced’ to get back to the tent before sunset, having a much earned cup of tea at 20:35, almost 11hrs after startingchillyman815/08/2021

A rapid there and back route covering Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain from Glen Feshie (via Tom Dubh) with Harrison. Warm on the initial ascent but 30-35mph gusty wind above 900m so we didn't stop apart from a minute or two at each summit. 81.25 miles, 1510m ascent - total time 6h 25minmproudfoot12/06/2021

Epic day! Walked solo. From Linn of Dee to White Bridge and along Lairig Ghru path to Corrour Bothy. Steep climb up good path to Devil's Point. Great viewpoint. Returned to col and traversed at around 1000m contour around Cairn Toul and Angel's Peak to point 899m above Loch nan Struirteag. Hardest part of walk ... bogs and boulder runs (not recommended!). Over the massive Munro's Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain to Munro Top Carn Cloich-Mhullinn. Generally easy walking over grassy and bouldery ridges, with occasional faint paths. Descend through heather, avoiding summit of Carn Fiaclach, to path on west side of Glen Dee at the Allt Iarnaidh. Long return to White Bridge (to cross) and Linn of Dee. Weather dry and clear most of day, but closed in after Beinn Bhrotain with a heavy shower and lowering mist. Total distance about 33km ... could be reduced by about 9km with a mountain bike to White Bridge! Took me nearly 12 hours ... due to late start I finished by torchlight!jamessteel10008/08/2019

I cycle from Linn of Dee to beyond White Bridge. I struck uphill beyond the pine plantation on the west side of the Dee. Over a couple of minor tops to Carn Cloich-mhuilinn then onwards to Beinn Bhrotain and Monadh Mor. Finally I went out to the oddly obscure Munro Top Tom Dubh. I retrace my steps over Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain but took a more direct line back to the track in Glen Dee.langskill27/08/2010

With: solo; Accent from bealach to Leac Ghorm less than expected and it was an easy stride from there to summit. Glen Geusachan looked dark and uninviting. Had intended to descend into here but too much snow so returned along ridge. Met another walker.Ian Baines28/04/2000

On the walk in from Linn of Dee to Corrour bothy... via 2 Munros! We said we'd never do this again after getting benighted in Knoydart. However, this was much easier going, though still 16.5 miles. Down via Loch nan Surtaig (lots of gulls) and at the bothy by 2000 hrs. Much better! Ring Ouzel 5m. outside door. With Pete.pwheeler16/06/1997

Solo. After Geal-charn, Meall Buidhe, Sgòran Dubh Mòr, Sgor Gaoith and Carn Bàn Mòr. I went to Tom Dubh. The top is very flat and it is difficult to distinguish the highest point from several candidates, which were all visited. Continued to reach the summit of Monadh Mòr before returning over the summit of Meall Dubhag. Went down the path to Achlean and walked along the road to reach the car. The weather was good.pwbellarby10/09/1995

With Jonathan Bellarby. From Linn of Dee to White Bridge , Carn Fiaclach Beag, Carn Fiaclach, Carn Cloich-mhuilinn, Beinn Bhrotain and Monadh Mór. Descent to the north near Loch nan Stuirteag into Glen Geusachan, hence to Glen Dee, White Bridge and Linn of Dee. Frequent light snow showers to start with, and some mist. From 11:30 it was clear and sunny with magnificent views, especially snow covered Cairn Toul, Braerich and Ben Macdui. There was continuous snow cover above 800m, but not thick. Final part of walk in moonlight. Some step cutting necessary on descent of Monadh Mór. Some streams difficult to cross due to ice.pwbellarby06/12/1981
