From Tyndrum lower station, followed cattle creep path to just beyond wide, rocky streambed. Up good zigzag path to top of mines and followed grassy path over Sron nan Colan, Drochaid an Droma and up the rocky rib of Meall Odhar. Returned same way as it was so pleasant. Dry underfoot and very sunny.Flatfield13/06/2023
parked at tyndrum lower, up via the old mines, over the 2 tunps and on to Meall Odhar, back via cononish. Good day out.hils18/03/2023

Parked at Tyndrum Lower Station. Over the level crossing, through woods and up zigzags through old lead mine. Solo.Dangerous Dave09/01/2023
Up the mine zigzags from Tyndrum lower station. Back the same way, as long wet grass in a fire break didn't sound preferable!davidpettit8414/10/2022
Via zig zag mine track round to Meal Odhar. Descend steep grass to south east to Cononish track and back to Tyndrum.Fife Walking21/08/2022
From Tyndrum Lower station, zizag up lead mines path to Sron nan Colan, Drochaid an Droma, Meall Odhar, down through trees and across rickety deer fence to bealach, NW up broad gully then E to ridge and S to Beinn Chuirn. Descended ESE to track keeping S of Eas Anie and the crags, past the gold mine and back to the station.TRG31827/04/2022
After Meall Odhar. Lead mines well worth a look.HardenC25/03/2022

7 miles 1963ft wet day walk, start at By-The-Way campsite Tyndrum, cross railway at station up old Lead Mine to Sron nan Colan, follow ridge around to Meall Odhar, return same route to Tyndrum.stephenbuda21/08/2020
Tyndrum - Sron nan Colan - Drochaid an Droma - Meall Odhar - Beinn Chuirn - Beinn Chuirn S Top - Cononish - Tyndrum.Mark Jackson28/07/2020
From station up miners' track- easier to find than the map suggests; easy to lose, too- we did that on a slope of spoil but quickly remedied the unpleasant diversion- the path is remarkably constantly graded. Short moorland slopes then a pleasant ridge led to the HP on the first leg of a very good walk to Meall Odhar. With Pete. Very fine weather.pwheeler22/03/2020
Train to Tyndrum Lower. North-westwards along track beside railway, then up lead miners’ track, occasionally straying on to mining spoil (very loose stones and very unpleasant). Footpath from top of mining area to ridge, heather and rough grass to top. Dry and windy, sun just coming out of cloud, Ben Oss, Beinn Dubhchraig, Beinn Laoigh still capped. Crianlarich hills silhouetted like a Japanese painting. Down north-westwards along ridge, making for Drochaid an Droma.mainnirnamfiadh25/07/2018
Tha's gold in dem da hills ... just follow the zigzag path!summitter29/06/2018
parked at lower tyndrum train station cp, up zig zag path, return forestry track through trees, sron nan colan, drochaid an droma, meall odhar, beinn chuirn, beinn chuirn south top.robertphillips24/06/2018
Took a similar route to Robert, but without the two Beinn Churn tops. The cairn on Sron currently sports a small Saltire. Drochaid an Droma's high point is either the northern or southern rocky top; the flat rock in between is lower. The descent from Meall Odhar to the Cononish track is seriously hard going over unremitting tussocks.Nick Down124/06/2018

Solo. From Tydrum up the zig-zag path beside the old lead mines - an easy way to gain height. On to Sron nan Colan. Summit is cairn on rocky knoll. Easy walking to the summit of Drochaid an Droma. Highest point is rock - there is a minute cairn beside it. Continued to Meall Odhar.pwbellarby16/09/2016

from Tyndrum Lower station. In full rain gear over railway on WHW for 1/2m, up through trees onto stone strewn hillside and zig zags pleasantly up to top. Traffic noise dulling to silence. On wet grassy tussock by fence posts to top at 12.00. to D an Droma.arranc01/04/2005
