Third hill from the war memorial. Onto last hill Geal Charn | Andrew Simmons | 11/08/2023 |
Down to the col from Geal Charn on mainly grass and short heather, then up to the summit. Pleasant top with lochans and views to the Carn Mairg group. Climbed to the top of the very larger boulder, just in case! Returned by the bothy SE of Geal Charn, then down the estate track. | LizH | 26/04/2023 |
Note that the road from Kinloch Rannoch on the south side of Dunalastair Water is now a clear way. Therefore we parked in Kinloch Rannoch and biked to the start of the track at NN674577. We climbed Meall Breac from the track. A new track from about NN658547 now leads to about NN673537 facilitating climbing Meallanan Ohdar and Geal Charn. | BaggerGutt | 08/06/2021 |
From NNE, Tempar, parking for 1 E of start (but beware - I got a parking fine), track, Geal Charn revisited en route, Meallanan Odhar, 748m top to E then back via bothy and track | RHW | 29/05/2021 |
After Meall Breac, used the track shown on the map which crosses the Glen Sassunn burn on a concrete ford before a new track then continues to a Run of River dam at 673538. Over the Allt Coire Cruach Sneachda with some minor difficulty due to previous days rainfall, then easily to the top. Then on to Geal Charn. | NormanW | 25/11/2020 |
creagan geur and meallanan odhar from parking at lassintullich track entrance. | robertphillips | 14/09/2020 |
Parked just east of bridge over Tempar Burn. Round of 3 Simms: Geal Charn, Meallanan Odhar, Meall Breac. Hydro track continues to stream junction at 673538. | PGCE | 12/07/2020 |
Contoured round from Creagan Geur. Up to bothy then across to Meallanan Ohdar. Pleased that the summit boulder is not the one that draws the eye on ascent! | richtea5040 | 17/04/2019 |
Up good track from bridge to junction withe the new hydro track not on my old map. Then diagonally up Meall BNreac, down and along hydro track for Meallanan Odhar and Geall Charn to pick up path/track back to road just east of start point.New hydro track made it much easier than anticipated for cross over. Agree with Pete (below) re: top. | dickscroop | 20/04/2018 |
Highest point is top of a big boulder. As this is not fixed to the gound, real highest point is a small outcrop of rock about 30m SE. | PeteN | 31/05/2017 |
