Descended S from Aonach Mor then followed old stalkers path for a bit before heading up to summit from NW | 187lenny | 12/11/2023 |
Cycled up from Tolvah, and after Sron Direachain got to within 400m of this top using the bike, although roads were not as map. Many new saplings planted on the lower slopes, but won't be a problem for many years. Then on to Sron na h-Iolaire. | NormanW | 18/04/2023 |
4 of 4: From Carn Dearg Mor. Then north over rough ground to the forestry road at 819943. An ATV track appears lower down. Back to Auchlean CP. With Tim. | ChrisR | 05/02/2023 |

From furthest Achlean car on mountain bike to woodland just below bealach between Carn dearg Mor and Carn Dearg. Return same way on hot, sunny day. Solo. Platinum Jubilee weekend and everywhere busy. | DampandDusty | 04/06/2022 |
After CDM, makes the retun to the track easier anyway. | iangalbraith | 19/05/2022 |

Two day backpack from Auchlean: Carn Dearg Mor - Meallach Mhor - camp near 800886 - Leathad an Taobhain - Beinn Bhreac - Carn Ealar - long walk out down Glen Feshie | davidpettit84 | 18/07/2019 |
From Ruigh-aiteachain bothy, on way out to Kingussie. Relatively easy ford of the Feshie then good tracks all of the way. | Colin Crawford | 26/02/2019 |
First summit on a visit to the 'Carn Deargs', walking all the way from the Achlean parking via Slochd Mor. The hill tracks make for fast walking but the narrow, impressive defile of Sloch Mor has lost wildness with the track filling the narrow valley floor in places. | pwheeler | 18/07/2018 |

A glorious sunny day with a cool breeze. By bike to just past Bhran Cottage. Up Meallach Mhor starting up the Allt an Tulaich on a short ATV track, then easy going to the top. Over Meall an Dubh-cadha on a faint path, and then an ATV track to the bealach. Up rough stuff to Sgor Dearg, and easy short heather over Carn Dearg (there's an ATV track too). Ghastly track to Carn Dearg Mor, but nothing can spoil the view from the top. Down the track, then to the Allt Bhran. The path shown on the map is an OS fantasy, but it's a lovely walk down all the same. More pleasant to cross the river to the landrover track for the last part. | Gill | 05/05/2017 |
Small cairn is the highest point. Good walking along summit ridge, path just visible in the dark. | alda | 07/09/2016 |

On way back to Achlean from Taobhain. | Aye Jimmy | 29/08/1998 |
Solo. From Achlean in Glen Feshie. Round of four Corbetts and a few other tops. There was good weather throughout with some mist. From summit of Meallach Mhòr to Meall an Dubh-chadha, Carn Dearg and Carn Dearg Mòr. Then back to Achlean arriving at ca 11.30pm. I drove back to Stonehaven via the Lecht. Saw a meteorite, about the same angular size as the moon, green, to NE. It was a very exciting observation. There were a few reports in newspapers about it. | pwbellarby | 20/05/1995 |
