From Meall Mor, following line of stone Dyke. Descent from Meall Mor to bealach was in deep heather. Spotted a big horny gollach clinging to a fence post at bealach, didn't know what it was and it didn't even flinch when ii gave it a little prod with my walking pole. Took a photo and googled it later to discover it was a Wood Wasp also known as Saw Fly. Wouldn't like to encounter a swarm of them!! The ascent to Cairn Gibbs was better as the heather stopped short of the dyke to leave enough space to walk along a grassy path to near top. A short deviation north form the dyke is required to reach highest ground. There is no cairn at top so a quick wonder around in the short heather looking for highest point is required.Jossker24/06/2023

A mixed approach from Knockton, a few good trails but much of it through tussocks and long grass. Then i had to reverse my steps to regain the roadColin Crawford12/07/2022
Knockton, Cairn Biggs, Black Hill, Druid Dearg. Note going from Cairn Gibbs the forest has plenty of wind throw, best take the good forest roads.Adrian07/06/2022

2/5 From road to Brewlands, at summit parked by woodland track and climbed to Meall Mor, Cairn Gibbs, Knockton, Druim Dearg then walked back on country lanes to climb Over Craig on North side of road. Tough in places and so many flies!nickywood104/07/2021

From the cattle grid at the high point of the minor road that separates Knockton and Druim Dearg. A reasonable path through the heather leads westwards along the forestry line to the former, then its a simple matter of following fence and wall to Cairn Gibbs and Meall Mor. Returned to the road along the faint track to near Auchinleish. 3hrs in total once back at the car.summitter29/11/2020
