6 tops from ballater, pannanich hill, knockie branar, cairn leuchan, creag dearg, fasheilach, auchnacraig hill, down to near linn of muick cottage for a good downhill bike run back to ballater. | robertphillips | 04/07/2021 |
A good short walk to lighten up a Coop run to Ballater. Parked on Ballater side of the Dee bridge. Across the bridge and straight ahead onto the rough path heading S through the forestry, joining the pisted path to the monument. Rougher path heading SE past the pond, then S on a narrow cross path to emerge above Glenmuick House, joining an easy, dry track more or less to the top. Very fine views. | Gill | 28/12/2019 |
parked in wide entrance of estate road - NO 3717 9532. Beware electric fence on S side forest from House of Glenmuick - nice path in forest but should be on track to south | carole engel | 24/06/2019 |

No 2000 incl IOM | BaggerGutt | 04/12/2018 |
Waling up to this summit I was convinced it was a raven sitting on the cairn. What a surprise when I got there to find it was a statue of a shepherd. I can now add Clachnaben & Clachan Yell to the list of hills I could see & name. A mother grouse was doing the I have a broken wing act as her chicks ran up the track in front of me.Weather warm/hot a great day to be in the hills | LizzieG | 24/06/2016 |
With the Leica man through the woods from Ballater. | Martin R | 20/10/2015 |
