Kintail Brothers and Sisters ridge from Ault a' Chruinn to Cluanie Innhummusg19/07/2023
08:00, cool, low cloud, calm at car park to SE. Reasonably easy climbing up to the Bealach an Lapain, dry underfoot and the cloud keeping the sun off. Emerged from the cloud at the bealach and waltzed along the ridge in the sunshine enjoying the spectacular cloud inversion. Saw a walker struggling up the slopes from Gleann Lichd, apparently attempting a head-on ascent of Beinn Odhar. Advised him to make a rising traverse SE to the ridge. On to Sgurr nan Spainteach.Wycombe Wanderer04/06/2023

Parked in A87 layby on W side of forest gap and climbed up to the ridge just E of Beinn Odhar. Classic ridge walk thereafter over the Five Sisters - Sgurr nan Spainteach, Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe, Sgurr na Carnach, Sgurr Fhuaran, Sgurr nan Saighead and Beinn Bhuidhe before descending its W ridge and the path alongside the stream to Allt a' Chruinn. Wonderful clear weather. With Gillian and Denise.richard6926/04/2023

Cairngorm Club overnight meet. With Eilidh Scobbie and Marj Ewan. We were dropped off below Bealach an Lapain. We went up a path which goes up a gap between forests and not far from the forest lying to the east of the gap. At the top of the forest it goes east a little above the forest before ascending again and reaching Bealach an Lapain. We went westward on the ridge to Sgurr nan Spainteach, reaching it at 19:00. I saw a figure on the summit of Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe which later was discovered to be Rhona Fraser, another club member. We continued to the summit of Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe, reached at 20:10. We descended towards the col with Sgurr na Carnach, meeting Rhona. I found out later that she continued eastwards after she left us and got to Saileag. This was her Munro number 1000 ascent - a fine achievement. We continued to the summit of Sgurr na Carnach and then Sgurr Fhuaran.pwbellarby21/06/2008

2 friends, camping or maybe we stayed in Kintail Lodge hotel, where we paid for a lift up the valley anyway. Mild, no snow, but tops in mist.NorfolkPT2118/12/1991
An epic solo jaunt over the Five Sisters & the North Shiel ridge starting from the outdoor centre near Morvich. Fairly brutal ascent up the N flank of Sgurr na Moraich on an already unseasonably warm day. Over the Five Sisters more easily. Decided to continue along the ridge & got as far as Aonach Mheadhoin. Continued on to Ciste Dhubh & then descended carefully NW as dusk approached to pick up the good path heading W. Eventually reached the car about 2 hours after sunset & decided to crash in the back. Fairly uncomfortable night & woken next morning by the bleating of sheep surrounding the car!NotReallyABagger28/03/1991

Just a minor top on the well-defined ridge between Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe and Bealach an Lapain, but it encapsulates the excellence of the classic ridge walking on the Five Sisters.pwheeler21/05/1984
