From Hatfield along track and then straight up from 2nd plantation - steep and heathery with more bouldery ground near the top of the slope. From the top down to NE (weaving through crags) and up to Meall na Fhuaid. Along ridge to An Garbh-mheal. Unfortunately, cloud down on Torridon and Skye hills - must be a fantastic viewpoint when clear. Cut back above An Dubh-loch to bealach - down a bit then picked up a deer track which gently descended towards deer fence round Fireach Garbh but I think it would have probably been easier to descend straight down to the track. Nice going along the tops on sandstone slabs. | StueyB | 12/12/2023 |
From the top of the grassy gully on route to Beinn a Chlachain. There are multiple tops rising between the lochans but the highest point is the top furthest east from the bealach. | Jossker | 16/09/2023 |
From Hartfield center first Beinn a' Chlachain then onto this top | Andrew Simmons | 27/08/2023 |
Beinn a' Chlachain and nearby tops from Cruarg. Walked up road / track by River Applecross, climbing to Coire Muchdaroch and on to Meall na Fhuaid. Continued to Meall an Doireachain and Beinn a' Chlachain and descent via long SW ridge. Weather started OK but deteriorated to rain and low cloud. | RobertP | 06/05/2022 |
From the Hartfield centre. | Peterb | 02/06/2021 |
Parking at NG 7050 4565. W initially, to the milestone (found), then NE up to Chalachain and across to here on an ultra windy day, couldn't really stand up at Chalachain. Steeply down SSE from here to pick up good track along Srath Maolchalium to return. With Steve Lewis. | jonglew | 14/02/2018 |
