|With Dave Thompson & Harry Johnson. Attempted to climb the Old Man but only got about 6 metres off the deck. My climbing log reads :-
Visited the Old Man of Storr & surrounding rocks. The old man wouldn't go. Got stuck halfway up another pinnacle & abseiled off, leaving behind a hemp length.||ngthack||21/08/1964|
