I sneaked in the back way by taking a bike up forest roads to NR972776 then using a wet firebreak to gain open hill. It was then a rough but tolerable plod out to this hill, a fine viewpoint over the Kyles of Bute. on the return I took in the two Beinn Bhreac topsColin Crawford23/01/2022
With Carole Engel after Inchmarnock Island boat trip. Roadside car park with good path to the toposcope after which the going was challenging all the way. Deer fences (with one stile at NR 9888 7499), rough heathery, tussocky and boggy ground etc. Nice steep final ascent though. 438m spot height almost definitely lower than the 435m trig. Suspect this may be a mis-print and should be 428m. The tig is the high point.jonglew26/08/2017

Hard slog up from car park at viewpoint on A8003. Stiles over Deer fencing presumably for stalkers. Top just in mist but good views over Kyles of Bute and saw a stag on the way down.andy11/02/2007
