My first munro with Martin Stewart. We travelled up on the night before crashed into the Cluanie Inn ordered a number of beers just at last orders drank slow as the rain was horizontal, then retired to a layby to bivvy out under some trees whilst finishing a bottle of Irish Cream like Baileys Martin had bought and some whisky. I had a full english before the S Glen Shiel ridge Martin had 4 liquid nurofen for breakfast. I knew then that our first walk together would be an epic. Slow crawl to this summit. Company: Martin my head hurts Stewart.iandesbottes10/05/2003

Solo. With help of friend positioned my car where Allt Mhàlagain is crossed by A87 road in Glen Shiel. Started walking at Cluanie Inn and did the South Cluanie ridge. I walked along the old road to where it crosses Allt Giubhais. I climbed up to Coirean Eich Bhric and to the col NW of Creag a Mhàim. Climbed up the ridge to the summit of Creag a Mhàim. Then went back down the ridge and along to Druim Shionnach, Aonach air Chrith, Maol Chinn-dearg, Sgùrr Coire na Feinne, Sgùrr an Doire Leathain, Sgùrr an Lochain, Sgùrr Beag, Creag nan Damh. Descended over Sgùrr a Chuilinn to reach the road a little short of where my car was.pwbellarby21/05/2000

my first ascent date n/k, due to lost guide log / book :-( started fine, then mist and final rain, solo, caught the bus from shiel bridge down to cluanie and hiked in along the old road to the stalkers path. followed this too the summit of the first munro - crag mhaim then followed the ridge over the further 5 munros plus tops all the way along, descending from the beach dubh leac path, back to glen shiel. walked back to yh at ratagan, a long day.rum doodle 01/01/1990

A crazy sudden plan with Mark. Nice calm winters evening so climbed in dark to summit- good path all way from Cluanie. Bivi'd on frozen 1st summit on ridge of Craeg a'Mhaim -mats and sleeping bags then did the snow covered frozen winter traverse -in crampons with axes next day - short daylight -ending in dark. Then to Torridon for New Year meetChris Pearson27/12/1989

Unlogged summit climbed while holidaying in NW Scotland in 1987. Camped at Shiel Bridge, drove to Cluanie Inn, dumping bike lower down the glen, walked the South Glen Shiel ridge (7 Munros) and cycled back up to the Inn. A cloudless August day.BURGESS31/08/1987
