Pkng at bridge. Then easily up the ridge from W - starting opposite entrance track to Dalwyne. Couple of fields with gates, then ATV all the way to summit. | 49pp | 18/03/2024 |
P Sally Pollock's Bridge, via Dunamoddie & Lennie. Wall along FB from Lennie to col then up in thick mist & rain. Back down ridge to W and on to Daljedburgh Hill. | agentmancuso | 14/07/2020 |
From the W, parked at cattle grid, just NE of bridge. Could find no sign of path on map. Waded stream, and steeply up to pastures. Eventually found a argo track through sheep fields, and followed to NW of summit. Crossed the burn, and climbed to NE ridge, and then summit. Descended S the W to bridge near car. | Minto | 10/08/2019 |
ACW round of the 3 tumps from north balloch tracks then 150 m through mature trees to dunamoddie trig,
track nw to end then along trees to find wall/large firebreak up to hp last 20 m through young trees, then over to dalwine best hill of the day. | robertphillips | 28/06/2018 |
With John and Marian Mackay. A triple completion. John and I finished the 300m hills in the Central Belt and I added South Ayrshire. A sweet moment, especially as I need never visit any of Ayrshire's horrors ever again. A good one to finish on though | Colin Crawford | 19/06/2017 |
Final hill of 12 today on a tough circular route from North Balloch climbing Daljedburgh Hill, Craiginmoddie, Doughty Hill, The Pilot, Knockinculloch, Clauchrie Hill, Fore Fell, Garleffin Fell, Stob Hill, Dunamoddie and Lennie (where I had to go back and retrieve my water filter from the dense trees). Climbed over wall and steep ascent. Lovely Hill with great views. Descended via South ridge then Sw avoiding field with 100's of sheep to arrive on road a short distance from the car. | Dazingdale | 10/05/2017 |
P N Balloch track and firebreaks plus through trees to trig on Dunamoddie. Track and firebreak then painful thrash from N to top of Lennie. Fence and ruined wall To about 400m (horrible-tussocks holes and wet) then across fence and up to C of D. Track along fence then down through sheep pasture. | chrisbien | 02/11/2016 |
Visited in passing. From W, nice climb; the burn is an attractive feature. | RHW | 12/05/2012 |
