Tough little scramble with Twiggy. In cloud most of the way until the last half mile then spectacular sunshine.desperate dan09/10/2023
After the main summit, and long way down, then up the quarry road to the concrete steps and inclined tramway.Minto19/07/2023
A fabulous hill! Lovely stone steps up to the summit behind the mast. Great views. Probably my favourite hill of the Lleyn Peninsula. Known as Garn For in my guidebook by Des Marshall. With Minto & Jill.Dangerous Dave19/07/2023
1 of 3 after night in the Motorhome parked on croes-higol road. Folllowed the road through town before then steep b road up before reaching the wales coast path. Then taking turn towards quarry at tee junction with yr eifl. Up the steps then short scramble to top. Red hot today. Beautiful views of the coast and dotted villagesThe-Z-Man01/06/2023

Parked in the Nant Gwrtheyrn carpark. Took the clear path to the station, walked up some dodgy old steps behind the man made station to the summit. Take care over the stones, they're not maintained and you could slip if you're not paying attention.Skarletk02/09/2021

The three Yr Eifl summits - clockwise from Mt Pleasant CP. Good hills - pleasant walk.Crib Goch26/07/2021
A tricky descent NW from Yr Eifl led down to Bwlch yr Eifl, and from here I headed down towards the quarries where I bivvied for the night. In the morning I headed back to Bwlch yr Eifl then up the quarry track and steps to the mast. There is a narrow path in front of the mast fence to follow and from there a cunningly disguised set of rock steps lead steeply with a little exposure up to the summit. Descended back the same way and then followed the quarry track back down towards Trefor. Definitely one of the most interesting hills I visited in a long time.Wheelsy27/06/2021
From the Mount Pleasant car park along the ROW to the exceptional fortifications of Tre'r Ceiri, then over to the interesting Trig of Yr Eifl and on to the panoramic peak of its North Top. Fascinating walk in fabulous weather - just a shame that Wales was getting trounced at Euro 2020 as we wandered up and down the rocky trails.summitter26/06/2021
Circular of three Yr Eifl tops at an easy pace. Parked near Llithfaen in carpark at SH 353 440. Followed Welsh Coast Path then up steps past mast to Yr Eifl North Top. Down to col then vague path up to Yr Eifl summit. Across another col and up to the impressive stone hillfort at Tre'r Ceiri hillfort. Followed clear undulating paths back to car park. Bright sunny day; warm but rather hazy. Great views.Skip16/04/2021
Used car park north of Llithfaen. Circular walk of 6.5k capturing Yr Eifl and North Top on a beautiful afternoon.Ramblingpaul07/04/2021
Great 5 mile circular from road junction just outside Llithfaen, we followed paths across the flanks of Yr Eifl, joined the coast path following it up to its highest point; the col between Yr Eifl and its north top, bagged Yr Eifl north top by following steps up to mast compound then trail over boulders to cairn on top. We then retraced our steps to the col and climbed fairly steeply to Yr Eifl summit, after we followed trails to Tre'r Ceiri then back down to the car. Afterwards we drove around to and bagged Mynydd Carnguwch. Amazing weather; not a cloud in the sky with views of Snowdonia, Plynlimon, Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsular, you could even spot the Pembrokeshire hills along Cardigan Bay. A few people about.DanTrig14/09/2020
From large CP to the SW, using the coastal path. Visited YR Eifl first (summit in hill fog) & then on to the superb N top (summit clear - good views). Popular hills.ger17/07/2019
Social run doing the Tri Chopa route in reverse. Up the steps then a rocky path to the summit.Claireb 09/04/2019

Parked N of Llithfaen at 35313 44001, up the Wales Coastal Path then left at the brow and left up the steps at the side of the incline. At the top go left around the mast fence and a rocky path goes up to the top. The stones were quite slippery today with low cloud and strong winds.clivevilla14/11/2018

Second ascent, this time via the old quarry with an interesting walk/ scramble through the impressive granite levels. Huge cairn on top, itself on a jumble of stones, worthy indeed of quarry men. Superbly set off against a blue sky streaked with cirrus. Descent via quarryman's path to aerial and then down aerial steps to col.Denise 09/04/2018
A very fine ascent from Trefor initially up the old incline to the citidal like quarry buildings. Then the tiers of old workings before scrambling W to gain the heather/rock N ridge to the summit cairn.RichardM09/04/2018

From car park. Excellent track to Bwlch yr Eifl. Up steps to comms compound then a clear path to top. High winds making the final section hazardous. Large cairn at top. On to Yr Eifl and Tre'r Ceiri for a short circular(ish) walk.jonglew20/08/2016
Fine rocky peak despite extensive quarrying on eastern flank. Climbed from Trefor via Bwlch yr Eifl track and returned same route early in morning. Climbed with Labrador. Cloudy but good views of North Lleyn coast, Anglesey and Snowdonia. Warning ... Cairn on summit seems rather precarious and unstable!jamessteel10001/08/2016

From private housing estate road at top south end of Trefor. Up steep lane and into walled track onto open hillside. Steep but straightforward up the east side of old quarry and aimed for radio mast, accessed by excellent staircase! Up final steep stretch from the south side over some slippery rocks. Spectacular summit.Campbell Singer22/01/2016
Up from Trefor harbour car park and around a bit of coast to the bwlch before heading up to this one. Made use of the steps to the mast before skirting the compound to the left and there is a distinct path through the bolders up to the top. Very windy on this one.Father Ted10/10/2015
With Hobbs family on birthday: car park at SH353440 - Bwlch yr Eifl - Yr Eifl N Top - Yr Eifl - Tre'r Ceiri - past Caergribin and back. Great walk and sea views. Interesting climb from bwlch - use metalled steps to hut, then little path round crags to top.Mark Jackson26/08/2015
Easy walk up to mast (with concrete steps), quite tricky scramble up rocks and boulders to very tall cairn. Back over deep heather and boulder field to upward path.arranc08/08/2015
