From forest road to SSW via tussock firebreaks. From NW may be better. As I headed back down to the Phone Box, a convoy of 50 tractors was heading up! One with a Ukraine flag | RHW | 20/03/2022 |
Similar route as underhill. | Dusty | 21/11/2021 |
from moel prysgau bothy forest roads then fire breaks from NW | underhill | 06/05/2021 |
No problem at all from the track to the north. Turn right at 792606 up a forest break then turn left on another forest break at 792605 which takes you right over the summit. | clivevilla | 30/08/2017 |

If you are thinking of bagging Esgair Saeson,DONT the young trees are about 15ft high and are so thick. Its not a plesant walk. The trees are very thick. Better to leave it another 10 years so all the branches will be above head height and all the undergrowth will be dead. Otherwise pleasent surrondings. | Rob Pen y Garn | 03/11/2012 |
