Parked at Achnasaul, backing into the track down to the old derilict bridge. Straight to the 681m point and onto summit.iangalbraith13/09/2023
With Rhona & Struie. Walking WH route (including Meall Coire nan Saobhaidh & Meall na h-Eilde) BUT a clockwise round and the walk begins from the bridge over the Allt Dubh near Achnasual on the Loch Arkaig road; there is plenty of space to park in the plantation around 500m (?) along the road to the east. No difficulties in going clockwise. There is an ATV track that goes almost to the top of Geal Charn – you can pick it up on the right bank of an unnamed burn at 165930, which comes down the SE shoulder of Geal Charn.DampandDusty02/09/2023
Solo run in hot conditions. excellent viewsTamCollie04/06/2023
From Achnasaul- parked on the grass near the entrance to the fishery building. Up the hydro track alongside the Allt Dubh, before crossing the bealach and climbing steeply up to pt 681, then on to Meall na h-Eilde. Followed the fence posts over Meall Coire Nan Saobhaidh, and then Geal Charn. All pretty good going underfoot, wonderful views. Down the SE ridge, then followed the burn below the ATV track for a while, as it was rather churned up and boggy. 17km, 4h 50Rockdoctor08/04/2023
Meall na h-Eilde and Geal Charn from the plantation parking area on the Arkaig road. Decent track up to the hydro scheme, then a very wet track up to the top of the glen. Did anti-clockwise circuit taking in Meall na h-Eilde, Meall Coire nan Soabhaidh and then Geal Charn before returning down the track out. Conditions - no precip, but clag above 600m so no views to be had. Cold wind though, so needed a windshell on over my midlayer. Total time: 4h 57min.mproudfoot25/03/2023
From falls parking for a round of Meall na h-Eilde, Meall Coire nan Saobhaidh and Geal Charn.rhalstead11/10/2022
With Sue from Achnesaul cycle 3km up the track along the Allt Dubh to a steepening part and walked into Gleann Tarsuinn and up SW shoulder of Meall na h-Eilde to summit and on to Meall Coire nan Saobhaidh, before heading down to the Bealach before climbing Geal Charn and Beinn Mheadoin returning down to the head of the burn to pick up the stalkers path down to bikes. Wet and windy given the heatwaave in England.Frank08/08/2022
From the witches pool CP meall an tagraidh, meall na h eilde repeat, meall coire nan saobhaidh, meall tarsuinn, carn dubh, beinn chraoidh down to butterfly reserve CP to pick up bike for the return to the car.robertphillips19/03/2022
Pleasant top after stiff climb, warm sunshine and not much wind, lovely when away from the clegs! Solo w some good running, esp from here to 2nd Corbett (Geal Charn).NorfolkPT2120/07/2021
Climbed with Richard and Tim. Hot and sunny day, late start from Great Glen Hostel. Then off to Black Sheep in Invergarry for food!amcculloch01/06/2021
Up and back from the Witches Pool. Too tired after much bagging on my old legs to do more! Nice hill with fine views.GWR Chris17/05/2021

From the Witches Pool, up the forestry track along the Gleann Cia-aig to Meall an t-Sagairt, across to Meall na h-Eilde and on to Meall Coire nan Saobhaidh, before doubling back to h-Eilde's west top and the big down and up to the fine ridge of Glas Bheinn. Got back on the forestry track by returning northwards to Coire na Cosaig, then eastwards to a dam over which it is possible to cross the Abhainn Chia-aig.summitter13/04/2019
Meall na h-Eilde and Meall an Tagraidh. Up track from W end of Mile Dorcha and then straight up top main summit through knee deep very soft snow. stable enough so no problems though hard work. Easy cross over to second summit with a fence to follow and then straight back down. A much finer day than the forecast, pleasant weak sun most of time.dickscroop27/01/2019
On my own. Another hot day. Back in time for the World Cup on Colin's Tele in the van.iansm07/07/2018

Standard route from Eas Chia-aig carpark. Easy ascent and descent via baby Hydro roads. Clear tops but blustery wind and mizzle. Seemed like a long walk back along the road to car.alexmaclennan17/06/2016
Gleann Cia-Aig is a mess at the moment, due to the new hydro construction http://www.rwe.com/web/cms/en/403246/rwe-innogy/sites/hydroelectric-power-station/united-kingdom/sites-under-construction/the-proposal/. But you're soon above it and the hill is very good, with fine views of half of Scotland. Quite a steep way onto the plateau, but easy going after that.Gill10/09/2015
Did after Geal Charn & before Glas Bheinnduchally03/07/2015
Alongside Geal Charn from Achnasaul. Terrible weather made us abort any ideas to climb the neighbouring Graham so just took the boggy track back to Loch Arkaig.bowlesy11/05/2015
Started from Achnasaul by the Marine Harvest building and plodded up the new and ugly bulldozed track and then onto a feint atv track initially to Geal Charn and then onto Meall na h-Eilde.Peterb11/05/2015
Impressed with the fence posts. Good peak which once loomed out of the cloud. Got a couple of views from summit then glissaded back down. Easier than walking. Company: Soloiandesbottes12/02/2015
Dark Mile diversion was irritating. The snow was fun. Then over to Glas Bheinn. Not enough daylight for Geal Charn.Martin R28/12/2014

from Cia-aig car park, via easterly diversion due to forestry. Wild boar in glen, ptarmigan, plover, up this one then Geal Charn via Saobhaidhe top and out to Achnasaul. Quiet, as was the weatherniallp16/06/2013
