From SE, Clapper Bridge, Longaford Tor, Higher White Tor, Brown's House Top, Postbridge, back along road, mostly intact line of benchmarks | RHW | 15/04/2022 |
From Okehampton - Belstone Tor, East Mill Tor, Steeperton Tor, Hound Tor, Hangingstone Hill, Black Hill, Cut Hill, Brown's House Top, Higher White Tor and Longaford Tor. Camped near the top of Longaford Tor before descending to Princetown from where I added South Hessary Tor while waiting for the bus. 41.5km, much of it boggy, tussocky, pathless toil in unrelenting rain and wind. Highlight was getting the tent up, changing into dry clothes and crawling into my sleeping bag. | Herbert Anchovy | 07/08/2021 |
Bloody awful terrain to get to this one accidentally. Didn't realise we were hill bagging at the time. | thevetchlings | 02/07/2021 |
