From Cragaig car park and Gleann Dubh Lighe, up steep slopes once past the forestry the long ridge via Na-h-Uamhachan and Sron Liath. Returned via same route. Very windy and cold. 20km, 6hRockdoctor28/03/2024
Tough little mountain. Originally was going to try the double Corbett, but weather and late start meant I just did this as a single. Drizzle and then rain most of the day. Got slightly lost following the fence posts on return, but GPS saved my life ;-) Seems a very long ridge in cloud, must be easier in good weather.Jhimmy21/03/2023
see log for Streap. The drop from Streap and climb back up to Braigh nan Uamhachan (BnU)is tough but advised as an out and back up the BnU ridge would tortuous - no pathcarole engel11/08/2022
With Sue from Craigag car park, cycle forest road to bothy and from edge of forest climb steep grass by fence, faint paths to Na h-Uamhachan, Sron Liath and steep decents and rise to Braigh nan Uamhachan. Return same way to bothy and after picking up bikes welcomed ride back. Very humid.Frank10/08/2022
Out and back to Braigh nan Uamhachan via Gleann Dubh Lighe, Na h-Uamhachan and Sron Liath - cold east wind where exposed but otherwise warm and sunny with great viewsrjf3521/04/2022
From Streap. Hard work on a warm and sunny day. Lack of hill walking telling on fitness during the virus four month hiatus in Scottish hill access. Not much over two miles from Streap but took over two hours. Long, steep descent, frequent rest stops on the plod up along the wall. Worth it for the fantastic views, Ben Nevis poking out of high cloud, the Munros to Sgurr na Ciche looking particularly good. Descended to the top of the wall, then south west down into the glen, not too boggy after a dry spell, then the long walk out down the track back to the A830.Owen B16/08/2020

After completing Streap thought I'd better take this peak in as well, weather being so accommodating. Headed down to loch an then straight up to amazing wall. Also who on earth built these old fences. Good views but long walk back to Loch Arkaig. Company: Soloiandesbottes12/04/2019

A long walk in cloud. Fierce winds, rain and hail. Solo. Glad I packed my goggles!Dangerous Dave01/10/2017
Climbed with Richard starting late around 11:30am. Wet day with poor visibility. Long day also taking in Streap then Braigh nan Uamhachan on unforgiving terrain. Arrived back around 10pm then back to Ft will for an Indian!amcculloch29/05/2017
53rd – With Allan. From car park on A830, follow track along stream up Gleann Dubh Lighe. Out of wood head out West to Beinn an Tuim, follow high ground to summit over several tops. From summit to Streap Comhlaidh, then head towards Lochan a Chomhlain and pick way up to col before second Corbett. After summit follow ridge South and then head back to wood. Warm and very wet. Challenging rough ground and particularly steep ascent to second Corbett (these are no 'mini-Munros').RGibbs29/05/2017
From Fassfern - nice track to M a Phubuill and then jogged over. now see I did before in 1999! Still nice warm sunny day for 27Km!davechaffey28/05/2017
Poor neglected thing, surrounded by magnificent Glenfinnan hills. Its long meandering ridge and rocky knobble of a summit are a bit of a let-down after the other magnificent, pointy Corbetts in this area. But it makes a nice enough walk, and the views are rather spectacular. I chose to walk up Gleann Fionnlighe, because it’s nice. Getting up onto the ridge gave some interesting route finding, and it’s a bit of a bog-fest. Nasty cold winds and snow prompted efficient walking up to the top, with not much hanging around admiring the excellent views.Gill14/04/2017

See streap. Descent west from between the two tops is straightforward and misses all the crags.dickscroop01/06/2016
Braigh nan Uamhachan ridge from just W of Loch Eil. Used forestry roads to access the two Tumps at S end of ridge (Druim na Saille, Stob Lochan Lourie), then Na h-Uamhachan, Sron Liath, Braigh nan Uamhachan and descent into Gleann Fionnlighe. Fine day with outstanding views across to Streap ridge.RobertP14/04/2016

W Jenx, after Carn Mor walked up Glen Pean then Glen Cuirnean and over ridge to Lochan Chomha'lain and fine wild camp at NM965872. At 7.30pm straight up Uamhachan in 40mins. Decend via old boundary wall in great views and very dry underfoot conditions. Fine camp!nordicstar06/06/2012

With JC and DC. First day of a 4 day outing in Section 10b. Climbed from Gleann Dubh Lighe. Long grassy ridge. Warm and tiring.Martin6611/06/2010
With Martin66 & JC from the car park just off the A830. Followed the track through the trees, crossed the bridge over the Dubh Lighe & continued up the path beyond the tree line. Bit of a muggy slog up on to the first top of the ridge but a fine undulating walk to the summit from there. It's worth continuing a little further N along from the summit to get an even better view to Loch Arkaig & beyond. Back by the same route.NotReallyABagger11/06/2010

6th of 6 marilyns on a solo attempt at 24 in 24 unsupported. It was always going to be tough with the rough ground and big climbs. One look at the drop and climb to Sstreap was enough as too tussocky on descents to make up good pace and Knoydart and darkness would not be easy. Packed in whilst not too far back south to road and hitch to car.Chris Pearson27/08/2001

With friend. Parked at the junction of the A830 and A861 on the N side, near some cottages. Walked up the track in Gleann Fionnlighe. Short of the Allt a Choire Reidh struck up the hillside, aiming for the col south of Braigh nan Uamhachan. Just before reaching the col we veered to the right, as this seemed a little easier, to reach the summit of Braigh nan Uamhachan. Went N and the E over various bumps of Gualann nan Osna. We continued to the summit of Gulvain.pwbellarby08/04/2000
On a brief visit to Skye. The morning was very wet and not suitable for anything on Skye so I went to Armadale and crossed on the ferry to Mallaig. By the time I got to Glenfinnan it had stopped raining so I left the car just before Loch Eil. I walked up the track up Gleann Fionlighe and later kept close to Gaor bheinn to reach the col between it and Gualann nan Osna. I went over the latter to reach the summit of Braigh nan Uamhachan followed by Sron Liath. No rain.pwbellarby27/06/1999
On circuit of two Corbetts. Superb views of Gulvain, Sgurr Mhor and hills of Knoydart. Big descent to valley, then on to Streap.Aye Jimmy20/09/1998
