Stayed at Achnacarry Steadings so got permission to drive as far as the bridge. Cold sunny day, fairly dry underfoot. ATV track could be very wet but today mainly frozen. Great views.nicolajane31/10/2023
12 degrees, cloud base 3000', westerlies, from waterfalls car park. Biked to high point on track then easy walking on ATV track. A bit of a long and dreary trudge but would no doubt be more cheerful in nice weather. On to west top.Wycombe Wanderer23/05/2023
From Eas Chia-aig CP. Bike to NN098876 continued along Glen Mallie on boggy path, up almost direct to summit. E along ridge to ATV track down to bikes. 1hour5 ride back pedaling one legged because pedal arm was almost falling off. 9½ hours in total.rogreeves15/04/2023
From Eas Chia-aig, very long trip but well pleased.hils26/09/2022
Excellent track for biking to NN 1335 8841. Equally good atv up moor at NN 0979 8763. At NN 0905 8873 feinter track up ridge. Peters out on reaching extensive area of peat hags/cloughs which continue to top. Generally easy walkingcarole engel09/08/2022
From Eas Chia-aig on a cloudy, very warm and very windy day. A splendid hill, quite easy. The track along Loch Arkaig is easy to cycle but the gravel is very loose in some sections, so gung ho descents are not advisable. The track up Glen Mallie has easy gradients, is nice and firm but bumpy. ATV track starts after the second small wooden bridge and was easy and dry today. The track runs out at the first hags above 500m. All but 2 sets of hags are avoidable by keeping high, linking patches of easy stony tundra, lovely to walk on. The 2 sets are easily crossed. The summit ridge is delightful, fine views.Gill11/07/2022
Parked at Eas Chia-aig and cycled to high point in Glen Mallie where we camped. This spot is the start of a good, if wet, ATV track and takes you onto the ridge. It does continue along the ridge for a short distance and then we followed the ridge to summit. A few peat hags slowed us down slightly. Return walk in reverse.Crumblie228/05/2022
From E end of Loch Arkaig in very dry, sunny spell. Followed track along glen along River Mallie, roughly following SMC guide for ascent to Mullach Coire nan Geur-oirean. Camped just beyond top, continued to W top and descended SE to rejoin track along glen. Sunny, excellent views, though cold wind on tops.RobertP21/04/2022
Continued to it's West Top then SE to Ruighe Mor.duchally22/03/2022
From Eas Chia-aig by bike to high point on Glen Mallie track, then via ATV track and east ridge to summit and back the same way [-ish]IanHHill09/07/2021
Solo trip starting by kayak across Loch Arkaig. Good launch point at NN066921, good landing behind island at NN071910. From there, proceed up forest fence, turn right up 3rd burn. This takes you up an easy grassy gully to Sron na Fearnaig whence it is an easy walk to the summit. Walking time 3h:20 min including lunch break.Invicta1428/04/2021
Long day for one hill but great views from the top. The tracks on my map have changed to what is on the ground, SMC book is more accurate.FCL28/06/2019
On TGOC 2019. From camp at 536m bealach between Gulvain and Mullach Coire nan Geur-oirean. Descended to Invermallie and then on to Gairlochyalistairpooler12/05/2019

Cycled from E end of Loch Arkaig up rather stony land rover track to about 100878, then rough track up to long and rather haggy east ridge. Very warm, very strong sun.Topographer5718/07/2017
Good use of bike along Loch Arkaig. However, track up Glen Mallie was lnot. Rey bike friendly. Bone shaking and I came off the bike on loose gravel. Just past a large dead tree, found a good quad track up on to the ridge at 400 ms, then a faint track along the first part of wide ridge. Short cropped heather and grass. Easy walking in bone dry conditions.Campbell Singer12/05/2017
As part of TGO Challenge route. Clear top and good views.oatcake15/05/2016

From Dark Mile CP. Eas Chia Aig. Spoke to Ron Bell in Glen Mallie.ChrisR06/05/2016
A good bike ride on the whole. We went as far as the high point on the track before it drops to the ruin. Walked up to ridge from there and along to the top and further. Cut down to valley to walk back to bikes. A big day for one hill.jenx20/03/2016
Parked at entrance to estate road GR 172887. Cycled 9km into Glen Mallie, leaving bikes before the road drops to the old ruin. struck up the hill aiming for the ridge end of Druim na Giuthsaich. Onwards along general good ground staying on the ridge to avoid worst of the hags. Summit grandly located at a small cairn. Continued on to the West Graham Top at 671m, before angling back down into the valley and track back to bikes.nordicstar20/03/2016

Save this for a fine day after you've done the surrounding hills. A splendid vantage point. There aren't many places from which you can see the Ben and both sets of Cullin.richtea504022/07/2014

Mullach Coire nan Geur-oirean (NN049892) S/F NN046923. Camp on north shore of Loch Arkaig. Paddle across and climb hill. Low cloud am clearing pm giving views to Gulvain. Light winds and reasonably warm. Poor decision to descend through wood.John Young01/04/2010
On road, through locked gate onto Lochiel estate. Good surfaced road by Loch Arkaig, in trees to cross the river out of Glen Mallie. To high point on road just beyond a grey tree trunk bent double to find buggy track going directly uphill to the flat top of shoulder. To ridge after 650' very long 3m wander over grassy slopes, crags, green hags involving backwards or sideways movements and loss of height and eventually on short decent grass areas to top at 14.15. Very small cairn on a grassy dome. 8 3/4 hrs back to car.arranc08/07/2009

Self. Stayed at Invermalliefergie01/02/2007
As I did not fancy the long walk up Glen Mallie on a hot day, I parked in Glen Loy and crossed to the south of Am Mam. Able to ford the river easily in low water and then ascend the hill. An excellent viewpoint. Returned the same way.JohnW28/06/2005
