From Glenshee Ski Centre (NO 13944 78092) - Carn Aosda - Carn nan Sac - Carn a' Gheoidh - The Cairnwell North Top - The Cairnwell. Navigation not too difficult, a mixture of good tracks and grassy paths throughout. Very windy during most of the walk, especially on The Cairnwell summit.david23020101/07/2019

4.6 mile walk from top of the pass taking in The Cairnwell, The Cairnwell North Top and Carn Aosda, raining when we started which then turned into hail, then dry for 20 mins with rumbles of thunder around until it started raining again despite this all summits on the walk were out of the cloud, nice to be back in Scotland!DanTrig09/06/2018

With TMD. A linear ridge walk using 2 cars. We are beginning with the Cairnwell (913m), then heading across to Carn Aosda (917m) before heading along the ridge to Carn nan Sac (920m), Carn a Gheoidh (975m) and Carn Bhinnein (917m) before dropping into the valley for some less visited miscellaneous locations that eventually take us back to my car at the Spittal of Glenshee.meltdiceburg31/05/2017

Solo. From the car park at Glenshee Ski Centre. After ascending Carn Aosda and its North Top. From the North Top skirted the 903m top to the west and went on to the Cairnwell North Top and the Cairnwell. Descended directly down to the car park. Easy walking and a nice day.pwbellarby26/08/2016
