Wow, adrenaline rush. Left rucksack and stick on rocks, through hole, heeby jeebies on ledge, then scramble onto top. Awesome, did not stay long as worried I may not get down, managed a pic from top. Company: Soloiandesbottes01/09/2023
A great day out, visibility was coming and going higher up, ascended the eastern front face of The Cobbler and descented off the back NW'ly side. Light rain, 12°C, Feels like 11°C, Wind 4mph from WNW, visibility often >6mihiglett27/08/2023
Up good path from Arrochar to col between main top and north peak. Although a number of people standing around looking at top none had been up it. Looks harder than it is. Through eye of needle then up exposed but wide ledge, next bit was the crux but once worked out where feet need to go it was ok. Helped by good dry conditions. On to North top and Beinn Narnain.PeterD09/06/2023
Parked at Succoth car park (£1/hour cash/card).Took path up SE ridge, very dry underfoot, to Cruach nam Miseag and Beinn Narnain. Whilst the cloud base was rising, it didn't rise fast enough for us to have any views from about 800m. It did clear as we were dropping to Bealach a Mhaim and we debated whether to climb back up... The path down is a constructed one further S than shown on the map, coming out near the Cobbler path junction. Good views and very hot from Beinn Ime but beginning to cloud again on the way up the Cobbler and North Peak. Threaded the needle and traversed the ledge but not the final step up on the Cobbler but treating it as ticked. Descent via main path to the ESE back to the car park. With Gillian.richard6901/06/2023
SHC Walk from Arrochar. Straight up to Cruach nam Miseag then Beinn Narnain, The Cobbler and North Peak, descending steeply East to track and back to the car.TRG31828/05/2023
Revisit for South Top. From NE, car park free after 6pm so 2pm arrival worked well, luckily got a parking spot. Had the summit to myself, no-one else threading the needle mid pmRHW08/04/2023
Main route from car park at north end of Loch Long to The Cobbler and the North Peak.RobB27/09/2022
Parked at the Loch Long parking area in Arrochar and walked round to the start. Followed the zig zags then a well marked path to the high col with Beinn Narnain before ascending the final stretch. Scrambled up onto the north top but decided against threading the needle in the wind. A fine hill. With MMkenmorti19/09/2022
11.75 miles 4503ft walk, The Cobbler, Beinn Narnain, Creag Tharsuinn and A'Chrois from Arrochar.stephenbuda13/09/2022

From free parking at NN 2987 0592. With the help of Katie Mackay professional guide (katie-mo@hotmail.co.uk) Threading the needle and the ledge were no problem - the only difficult bit was an exposed final boulder to climb - I needed the help.carole engel04/09/2022
The Cobbler plus Beinn Narnain. Didn't do the very top of The Cobbler.tsharp29/07/2022
From Arrochar. Direct ascent up Beinn Narnain. On to The Cobbler, Beinn Ime and Ben Vane. Long walk out through forest track back to Arrochar.robertgn20/07/2022
Not many watching. Went through touched top.Play2End29/05/2022

Finally a decent day after a week of mostly wet weather, so an early start to beat the crowds. This meant that the rocks on the summit scramble were rather wet, which added to the interest on the descent.Rockdoctor14/05/2022
The Cobbler from Arrochar, ascended east side, descended on the north sidehummusg28/04/2022
The Cobbler - Bagged! Exhilarating experience, but don't think I will be rushing to do that one again. Probably the most technical ascent and exposed scramble I have managed without a rope. Two difficult steps after The Eye of the Needle. Knelt on summit but did not have the nerve or inclination to stand up as it was a little breezy. As always downclimb back to the eye more difficult. Circular walk from Glen Loin Campsite with Michael Coates and Riley. Michael had been up the Cobbler and I had been up Beinn Narnain so after The Cobbler and the North Top we returned via Beinn Narnain and Cruach nam Miseag. A steep interesting descent route after an exhilarating day.mntainman11/04/2022
Scramble up, steps down.Arbie24/03/2022
From Arrochar up the never ending zig zag path to eventually the Narnain boulders and path up left and the superb scramble to the col and cairn. This visit only to the main top to the needle with my wife. Down the other side on the good path, then steep stepped descent back to the track and boulders back to ArrocharWayne Mac13/10/2021
With John, Jon, Alex and Paul from Arrochar forest park. Beautiful day - I enjoyed threading the needle once my leg had stopped shaking...Richard05/10/2021

A pleasant walk completing Beinn Narnain, Beinn Ime and The Cobbler from Glen Croe. Cloud free to start with some cloud on Ime and lots on the Cobbler. Easy walking with good paths.meltdiceburg20/08/2021
Looks manageable on a nicer dayOh no I forgot...16/08/2021

With Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime. Scrambled onto the true summit stack (threaded the needle - pretty straightforward)maclrc23/08/2020

A round of Narnain, Ime and Cobbler. First time to the Munros and first time at the central peak of Cobbler, complete with needle threading. A good retrospective of 5 years ago.iangpark21/10/2019

Ben Arthur and Ben Arthur North Peak from car park at Succoth. Fun, but not difficult scrambling through the needle.welshyboyo06/06/2019
The Cobbler and Beinn Narnain from Succoth. Early start, cloud drifting on and off the summit.Gary Heath28/05/2019
With M, from Arrochar. Nice day to start with, a bit misty at the top. The summit rocks were a bit greasy but managed it fine, despite stiff arms still.douglas_easton28/09/2018
With G. From Succoth car park > The Cobbler North Peak > The Cobbler [Ben Arthur] retracing route to start. Car park charges are a rip off are designed to cash in on The Cobbler. Signed petition against.RT197024/09/2018
From Ardgartan car park. It's difficult to locate the 'path' through the forest from the Cowal Way. Heavily overgrown and seems little used - fallen timber, conifer growth, etc. Not recommended. Came back via tourist route.Roblex07/09/2018

Revisit. With Dan Grammatica after our Liamamuil stac climb. Threaded the needle, also discovered can bypass window via an exposed scramble in front of the nose, in balance altho handholds not too positive. Quite a few folk getting up the pinnacle this hot sunny day. Then home after an inspiring long weekend.RHW01/07/2018
After descending Beinn Ime I couldnt walk past the cobbler without a visit. Path looked worse than it actually was but an extremely busy mountain. Lovely views and descended the same way heading back down to the weir and the path back to the car at Succoth car park. Fantastic round of 2 munros ( Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime) and a corbett, 11.6 miles and a trip time of 7 hours 46 minutes.Zoe Little28/05/2018
Succouth Car Park. Took the less steep route round the back of the Cobbler.dakk22/05/2018
From A83. Ben Arthur, Beinn Narnain, Beinn Ime and Beinn Luibhean. Ben Arthur with PM, rest solo.CJM22/05/2018
Easy parking by the bridge at 243060. Followed the track on the south side of the burn to 252067 then a direct steep ascent SE to the summit with CM. Sat atop this spectacular summit rock!bolton22/05/2018
Pleasant undulating path along the SE ridge, then steep up past the south top. Dry, bright, calm day, so threaded the needle, shuffled along the ledge, levered myself up the rocky slope to the left, spent a minute or two contemplating the best way to clamber over the large boulder below the summit before going for it, then stuck my head above the true summit, good enough for me. No. 97 of the Trail 100.Owen B13/05/2018

Arrochar - Cruach nam Miseag - Beinn Narnain - Beinn Ime - Beinn Luibhean - The Cobbler N Peak - The Cobbler - An t-Sron - Arrochar. Threaded the needle - actually the scramble is easy compared to Skye - perhaps no more difficult than Crib Goch - but rather exposed.Mark Jackson20/08/2017
