From Bowness (Ennerdale). 17 km, 1000 m asc. E down the main track and over Char Dub Bridge and S up to Caw Fell. E along the Ennerdale Fence to Little Gowder Crag, Haycock, Great Scoat Fell and Scoat Fell. Over Middle Scoat Fell and N down and up to Steeple. From Bowness Knott car park, walk along lake and over bridges, then via Lingmell. Somehow this hill had been overlooked in the past. Glorious weather, wall to wall blue skies, no wind, even had flying ants on the summit! Day spoilt somewhat by losing a GPS device.Aye Jimmy01/10/2015
