2nd failed attempt on Helvellyn after aborted attempt via Striding Edge on day of first winter snows back in Nov 2008. Only got as far as Browncove Crags this time due to white out, strong NW winds and fear of cornices. Did meet RAF mountain Rescue team practicing on Browncove Crags (not the summit)SteveSmith10/01/2009
