A round of Gleann nam Fiadh taking in all the Munros and tops. Weather sadly misty all day and extremely wet underfoot in the valley. With B and R.jenx22/10/2020
Finally to Shurr na Lapaich after many years wanting. Dross weather tho. From Affric CP to Affric lodge and good track to 500m. Rough walking to ridge path at 800m. Continued over Mullach Cadha Rainich to Mam Sodhail in deteriorating weather, not the improvement forecast. After Carn Eighe took the next five MTs in rain, hail and low cloud. Dropped off ridge before Tom a Choinnich steeply to lower burn in spate. No crossing back to Affric lodge so all way down left side of burn to road by new hydro scheme and a mile back up valley to van.nordicstar22/10/2020
Track near Affric Lodge N, then W across moorland to Sgurr na Lapaich, along ridge via Mullach Cadha Rainich to Mam Sodhail, then N to Beinn Fhionnlaidh (contouring past Carn Eige on W side), via Stob Coire Lochan, returned over Carn Eige, then along E ridge over Stob a' Choire Dhomhain, Stob Coire Dhomhnuill, Sron Garbh, then descended to Gleann nam Fiadh to follow track out, but it was in such poor condition that I crossed the river and took the track S direct back to Affric Lodgekdbennett17/06/2018

We stayed overnight in the private hostel at Cannich. It was a long day over Mam Sodhail and all the way out to Beinn Fhionnlaidh. Gary talked incessantly. It was grey and wet and it was a long way back at the end of the day. We returned to the car after dark.langskill05/08/2007

With Shaky on a clear but overcast & chilly day. Started at W end of Loch Beinn a'Mheadhoin using path to W of Am Meallan to Bealach Toll Easa then turned W along ridge over Tom a'Choinnich as far as Carn Eighe. A very fine walk but mist grazing tops & freezing wind. Then out & back to Beinn Fhionnlaidh (which required some willpower!) Passed underneath summit of Carn Eighe to reach Mam Sodhail. Descended its SE ridge as far as Sgurr na Lapaich & onwards to eventually reach the lower path back past Affric Lodge. We camped next to the car that evening: the next morning, Shaky unzipped the tent, stuck his head out straight into the face of a grazing deer. Unclear who got the bigger shock!NotReallyABagger23/04/1992
With John, again with full pack but this time cutting down to the glen earlier then again over pass to car park. SS10/06/1991
Insignificant re-ascent but a key point where the long switchback ridge just N of E from Carn Eige has a SE spur. I was on the long ridge, with my brother Pete, today. In 2010, I came up the SE ridge, a delightful way from the stalkers' path in the glen. Impressive pinnacles W of this top.pwheeler25/05/1991

With Jonathan Bellarby. After ascending Tom a’ Chòinich we went west over several tops to Carn Eighe. This included a sharp rock peak at NH134265 which we thought might be the Munro Top called Creag na h-Eige which is in Munro’s Tables up to the 1974 edition.
