Beinn Luibhean via the south ridge. Walkhighlands route | hummusg | 30/11/2023 |
Out and back from Arroachar Village Hall.
1 of 1 | thekirkie pirate | 08/09/2023 |
From north Cobbler peak, headed down to Beach a' Mhaim, followed path for a while to Beinn Ime then to the left followed a new deer fence to a gate just at the base of Beinn Luibhean. Straight up to summit. Great views, followed track down to A83. Parked at Honeymoon Bridge Forestry park, the walk down the A83 was scary to car park. Cracking day, except for the A83 walk. Never again. Company: Solo | iandesbottes | 01/09/2023 |
Awful weather. Did not clear until the descent. With Janice and Brian. | Play2End | 04/11/2022 |
Beinn Ime & Beinn Luibhean from Butterbridge. Much shorter route than from Arrochar, not technically challenging but relentlessly steep both up and down. | TRG318 | 28/09/2022 |
From small car in South. Steep but straight forward. Short outing with friends. | sarahk | 17/09/2022 |
David & Ruth Wolfe's last Corbett. Wet day, good views from top. Done from west. Faint path along river to col. Path higher up to top. | tallblond | 03/08/2022 |
Parked in 1st car park to South. Do not go over scissor style but through 2nd metal gate crossing new deer fence. | geoffreycurnock | 19/06/2022 |
From small free CP to south. Good path to start (to the Munros), leave that (over new deer fence) to climb south ridge - hint of a path in parts - easy grass. Do not follow new way-markers - wander all over | carole engel | 04/06/2022 |
On way to WBMC meet at Fort William. Deep new snow. Climbed via S ridge. Solo. | John Lee | 19/02/2022 |
Straight up from road ; rained most of the way up and back, but occasional glimpses of Beinn Ime, and summit mostly clear | Rockdoctor | 02/10/2021 |
Left Butterbridge mid-afternoon, cold wind and mainly sunny. Circuit of Beinn Luibhean, Beinn Ime and Beinn Chorranach. Lovely light as very clear. | Heather TS | 22/05/2021 |
wet run on my tod, nae dog today | TamCollie | 25/10/2020 |
Solo - in the clag above 700m | mproudfoot | 30/10/2019 |
From Glen Croe, standard route up and down. A grassy, pathless slog for two thirds of the ascent. Enjoyed the summit even though the bigger hills were cloud covered with occasional glimpses of more. | Chris Mac | 15/10/2019 |
With Sue from A83 on way from Edinburgh, sunny and showers. | Frank | 12/10/2019 |
From Butterbridge. Straight up, then on to Beinn Ime and Beinn Chaorannach and down via Abysinnia. | quadbarrel | 23/06/2019 |

From the Cobbler to this lonely summit. Solo. Descended SE then SW to the car at the bridge 243060. Under 6 hours and just over 6 miles. | bolton | 22/05/2018 |
From the Cobbler. Descended well made path to point 628, then point 637, contoured pathless SW flank of Beinn Ime to the col, then straightforward but lumpy plod to the obvious summit. Then down steep grassy slopes to Rest and be Thankful. | Owen B | 13/05/2018 |
Me and Colin. Beautiful day. | iansm | 26/01/2018 |
Arrochar - Cruach nam Miseag - Beinn Narnain - Beinn Ime - Beinn Luibhean - The Cobbler N Peak - The Cobbler - Arrochar. Tough, pathless descent of Beinn Ime's SW face followed by a mostly pathless climb from the Bealach a'Mhargaidh is rewarded by a summit poised on the edge with remarkable views down to the A83. | Mark Jackson | 20/08/2017 |
From Beinn Ime followed the path towards Beinn Narnain a little way before descending to Bealach a'Mhargaidh. Ascended via E ridge, weaving a way between the crags. With JT. Descended back to Bealach a'Mhargaidh and then down to Butterbridge on a bagger's path. From Butterbridge, walked to Abyssinia bothy. With JT. | Sprog | 25/07/2017 |
With Ikuko after The Cobbler and by traversing the flanks of Beinn Ime. 10.6 miles and 4443 ft ascent. Wow!! | GWR Chris | 03/05/2017 |
Beinn Luibhean and Beinn Ime from Butterbridge. Route and write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.com/2017/04/beinn-luibhean-nn243079-858m-and-beinn.html | Gayle | 28/04/2017 |
A great short walk from Butterbridge, perfect for a winter's day when the morning was thick fog and drizzle. Just time to scamper up and down after the rain stopped, and catch brilliant sunset views at the end of the day. The whole walk is on easy, relatively dry ground with a decent, faint path all the way. Red kite seen in the coire. | Gill | 19/12/2016 |

from butterbridge, which seemed a good idea.. steep and pathless in places.. cloud from 550m. was intent on taking in Ime too..but seeing nothing i elected to follow the burn down past pipeline and out below RABT. followed road back. | stig_nest | 27/11/2014 |

Clambered over to here after Ben Ime. Fine spot for lunch just underneath the summit 'shelf'. Had the hill to myself. Poor choice of route back crossing the gullies back to the saddle between the cobbler and Narnain. | GravelMonkey | 23/05/2014 |

Butterbridge- Beinn Luibhean- Ben Ime- Bealach a' Mhaim- Butterbridge walk with Pete. Used the path then quickly onto the ridge, very steep in place. We had views from the summit but cloud was starting to roll onto the mountains to the S. With Pete | pwheeler | 26/05/2013 |
Done before the Munro. Lovely rocky summit. | Play2End | 01/05/2013 |
Evening ascent after work, while my wife was at her Book Group! Directissima route up and down via main road through Glen Croe. Great views at the top. | milngavie_kenny | 13/06/2012 |
direct ascent from Glen Croe. On my own, hill quiet apart from ravens. barely 2.5 hrs up and down. Strangely peaceful at summit despite traffic noise. | niallp | 09/06/2012 |

Climbed Dec. 29th 2008 via. the tedious NW face and onto the W ridge - not reccomended. Snow, and cloud but "fog bows", and other interesting lighting created an intersting ascent. | Kevin29035 | 29/12/2007 |

Christmas Day 2000 and the start of a round of Corbetts with JC. DC and DS | Martin66 | 25/12/2000 |
With Martin66, JC & Shaky for a Christmas Day wander. From near the bend on the A83 where it meets Glen Kinglas, followed the semi-frozen river up to the edge of the trees & then straight up the N ridge of Beinn Luibhean. Descended to the col with Beinn Ime & then followed the line of the burn back to the road. Took quite a while because the slope was very icy. | NotReallyABagger | 25/12/2000 |
From Laigh Glencroe, straight up & down S ridge, with Fiona. | agentmancuso | 15/10/2000 |

Alone. I departed Arrochar and Tarbet Railway Station at 11:25 and walked along the road to the road junction to Succoth and then up a path WNW, then NW. I ascended via Cruach nam Miseag to Beinn Narnain, then Beinn Ime and Beinn Luibhean. The descent was via Allt a’ Bhalachain. I reached Arrochar and Tarbet Station at 19:40. It was warm with no rain.
