Logged Descriptions  (logged by 22 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked at spot height 261. Walked in the newly surfaced track to Cuchanlupe (which had a BM on it). Took the very indistinct track south to the open area at Auchdergannach. Followed the extremely indistinct track (actually non existent in places), to Wester Rynerrick and climbed slowly up through open forest and then deep floundery heather to the summit. A small cairn nestling under a pine tree seemed to be the high point. Descended east to join the Forest Lodge track before following this back to the car. Came across an old illicit whisky still site at NJ 01209 15164, if anyone fancies a look. With Nozzer.BigJ06/10/2022

3 of 3: Parked by the bins at 998167. A new gate was at the entrance to the Forest Lodge road and a sign just beyond said Estate Vehicles only. We walked to the Forest Lodge CP: 35mins. Then South on the Glenmore track to 013150. From there a steep climb west through heather and trees took us to the cairn by the tree. With Karen.ChrisR23/01/2022
From Cuchanlupe forest road ending, via forest tracks then deepish heather towards end.willyross09/04/2021
Descended S from summit of Carn a`Chnuic onto road then headed W then N to bridge over River Nethy then turned S past Forest Lodge before heading up through open woodland187lenny19/07/2020
Tracks from the entrance to the Forest Lodge road. The path shown rising to near the summit is overgrown and the woodland is usually easier. Avoid open areas, they are furrowed and give evil going. The higher reaches are very heathery and rough but you do get fine views, especially towards the Glen More Cairn Gormfasgadh22/09/2019
From NE, Forest Lodge car park, track, open forest, level summit with cairn at foot of tree approx at hpRHW01/04/2018
Up from Cuchanlope to west, east down to track then circuit back via Forest Lodge. Easy walking. Not many trees on top, good views south to Cairngorms.alda28/12/2016
