Exactly as Gill's route, well recommended. Parked on S side of metal bridge over river (1 space). Also, don't miss turning at 932290 otherwise it gets messy.iangalbraith02/03/2023

Beinn a' Mheadhain the easy way, with no false summits. Parked at Killilan, walked over bridge on Camas-luinie road to a 5 bar gate at 942297 where the mapped track starts, next to a sign about native woodlands and a wooden gate (don't go through). Track goes to a locked high gate, easy to climb, then continues up the hill through new woodland, wandering around Glac a' Tollaidh, wet and overgrown in places, but keep the faith, the adjacent ground is horrible. Leave the track and climb the deer fence at pair of strainers (old gate?) approx. 932290, then follow the shelf below Meall Glac a' Tollaidh, soon joining a low fence and following it, best on S side, to wet area before a heathery boulder field then to N side, cross fence and find easy deer tracks on N edge of shelf, final rough bit up to Loch, across the burn, then up the hill on rough vegetables. Possibly as easy as it gets but still not a pushover, lots of rough going.Gill23/05/2022
From road end near Bundalloch...up the ridge and across to summit. Clear but overcast. Steeply off the southeast slope to avoid crags and path back down the glen.N.Morters01/01/2020

From road end at Bundalloch, following 'fisherman's path', otherwise you'll be on ruff tuff stuff - cross wooden bridge, immediately L through gate after sheep pen, direct uphill through fence corner, then through wall gap and directly up until access to hill is barred by E and BW fence, follow L until EF ends, BWF can then be crossed at long slack section. Then, get up onto ridge crest ASAP where, near a half buried big rounded rock, a fairly well defined trod begins and leads to the 'crags' referred to by others. At the 'crags', go level, N, across a flat grassy, pathless area below them to a rectangular ruin made of white rocks, from this the trod re-continues in about the same line to make an ascending TR L up and across the end crag, to a col just beyond, from where a line of hard-to-see bamboo sticks leads the way along a trod to Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin, from which one can depart L to reach the top. Camera found near summit, send description to secure return.Isbjorn01/03/2019

Parked at end of road at Bundalloch. Over bridge and through sheep pend. Easy going where path found but tough otherwise. Climbed too far south and had to correct. Superb views from summit. Back by direct route.Coinneach17/07/2018
beinn a mheadhain SW top and beinn a mheadhain from bundalloch ground pretty dry but cold wind.robertphillips17/03/2018

From Bundalloch. Took longer than anticipated. Too much pathless old woody heather.NormanW10/04/2017
From road head at Bundalloch. It's a turning point but room off the road for several cars. Over the bridge then track to sheep pens. Onto hill ridge and faint path most of way, skirts to West side of north top and then a beeline to summit partly hidden lower down.nordicstar13/08/2016
An interesting craggy multi topped hill. Easy walking and good views.jenx13/08/2016
From Bundalloch, up onto SW ridge. Up via stream from Loch Dobhach, down on higher ground further south. Rough and trackless, other than intermittent animal tracks.Topographer5723/05/2016
From the Bundalloch road-end. Route and write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/auchtertyre-hill-and-beinn-amheadhain.htmlGayle12/05/2016
From Bundalloch road end. Being a'Mheadhain's SW Top, Main Top, East Top & Far East Top - returning down poor path along River Glennan.jimbloomer04/05/2015
At the end of the tarmac road cross the bridge and turn immediately right. Follow the track through the gate and keep to the left of the sheep enclosure. You can now strike left up the open hillside. No path, just do your best with animal tracks. You may do better than me! Only challenge is getting through a rock band, which can be done at NG 9075 2847. Cross bog and follow river valley until you can strike left up to the summit. Plenty of bog and heather to keep you occupied.geralddavison22/03/2015
From road end to the SW. Mostly easy ground to the summit.AndrewFinnimore23/05/2014
Climbed from Camus Luinie. A great hill; worth doing the eastern tops.richtea504030/04/2014

With Max Innwood. Left car at Bundalloch and walked along track by River Glennan to end of the mountain. Then ascended steep heathery sloped, past the small loch and onto the top. Retraced our steps same way back. 4 1/2 hours.alexmaclennan13/05/2013

Up from the west - a rather complex hill.fasgadh17/02/2012
Started at little bridge on end of road at Bundalloch. Follow path until reach open hillsideand then PYO route. It is an interesting puzzle of a hill with lots of minor summits to lure you up and then realise you have to drop height again.Martin R13/02/2012
From Bundalloch via the SW Top and Loch Dubhach. All I can recall is the exhausting rough heather and hummocks but the views were grand.Jake99420/07/2008
During a New Year week at Dornie. Solo on a bright clear day from the road end at Bundalloch. Crossed the bridge & fought my way up the SW ridge. I'm sure there is an easy way to do it... Continued E over the hill & dropped to pick up the very rough path leading back along the River Glennan back to the start.NotReallyABagger30/12/2007

Parked near turning circle at end of road by Loch Long. In wellys and shorts. Over river on a bridge and footpath to north bank, before striking uphill over moorland, 3 false domed tops with drops and to final ridge. Unavoidable drop to maintain line of march to swampy valley and bealach on horizon and more plod to left to top at 15.15.arranc07/08/2005
