Sguman Coinntich & Faochaig from Kililian with John. Walked in along track alongside River Elchaig to the eastern end of Loch na Leitreach, then followed track North above Allt Domhain to where the track ended about 450m. Then aimed mostly north to summit of Foachaig. From there, descended down to join ridge to Sron na Gaoithe and followed it around to summit of Sguman Coinntich. Descened W and then N down to track beside All a Choire Mhoir and back down to Kililian. Total time: 7h 38min (including just under an hour spent on summits)mproudfoot16/09/2023

Biked to Carnach with Phil M. & John R. Followed stalkers track up by the Allt Domhain then NE to the lochans. Grass slopes to summit. Pleasant route.Dangerous Dave21/07/2022
From Sguman Coinntich. In the hill fog simply kept the steep ground to the left, descending to the col at point 638. Contoured south of Sron na Gaoithe to the next col at 650m. Then a straightforward plod to the summit. Retraced steps to point 638, then aimed WSW to the start of the path at 380m asl. Quite slow going but saved a much longer descent to Carnach. Then followed the muddy / stony / grassy track to the glen. Highland cows with calves on and near the main paved glen road, docile but gave them a wide berth. Then back to Killilan.Owen B21/06/2022

To Carnach by bike, then up the stalkers path avoiding as much as possible of the bulldozed track. Onto the plateau via pt 727, which is well worth a visit even if a bit longer than the direct route. Down the NE ridge and the stalkers path to climb Aonach Buidhe next.Gill21/06/2016

Day 2 of a weekend trip based at Maol-bhuidhe bothy with Martin66 & JC. A very warm & humid day. My brother did his usual diretissima caper straight up on to An Creachal Beag while I took the easier & very scenic NE spur. We all then continued to the summit of Aonach Buidhe. Descended the broad W flank to the col with Faochaig. Quick ascent via the good stalkers path on to the plateau & over to the summit. Back to the col & down the path to the midgey bothy. I decided to take a cooling dip in the burn & came out covered in midges much to the others amusement! Back to Achintee as per Martin66 report on Day 3.NotReallyABagger30/07/2006

from A Bhuidhe. On compass followed west ridge out of mist. Down sharply on grass to detour south. Water and glucose tabs at track. Excellent stalkers' path led up zig zagging around crags making an easy gradient to final cairn at top of path. Up last ascent to plateau like top at 16.00. No view - mist. Picked up bike and to car. 23 1/2m - 10 hrs.arranc09/08/2005

Killilan to Aonach Buidhe bothy via Sguman Coinntich and Faochaig. This walk between the two mountains was remote. Faochaig never looked impressive but the views from it were the best in the wilderness. We followed the NE ridge down, faithfully, and got the hoped for reward- we found the stakers' path to take us down through thick heathery slopes. Black Throated divers on Loch Cruoshie and Snipe drumming were the sounds from the bothy to end one of our finest wilderness days. With Pete.pwheeler23/05/2001

Solo. From Killilan. Walked up path close to Allt a’ Choire Mhòir and then up hillside to summit of Sgùman Còinntich then followed ridge to Sròn na Gaoithe and on to the summit of Faochaig. Went NE and then found a path which was followed roughly eastwards. There followed a stiff pull-up to the summit of Aonach Buidhe. Descended the SSW ridge to Iron Lodge. Met up with a friend and took turns with a cycle down to Killilan. Quite a long day. Weather good.pwbellarby07/05/1994
