Can't remember this exact date for this or the year, my Munro book has 2002? I do remember the trip. Both me and Dave Murray stayed in Torridon YHA. Abandon idea of going up it and after rounding lochan, head directly up the boulder slope of Ruadh Stac Mor very hazy so view restricted to 5/6 miles. Walked in to Coire Mhic Fhearchair to see the triple buttress on a frosty but windy day. Rather than mess about I ascended the scree slopes east of the loch direct to the summit. This wasn't as bad as it looked and the wind assisted. Continued on the ridge to the next tick.mindlessflogger23/12/1992

There and back from the E ridge of Coinneach Mhor, then continued along the main spine of Beinn Eighe and over the Black Carls and down to Cromasaig. The entire route, starting from Coire Dubh Mor via Sail Mhor took 10h 45 min, spending plenty of time enjoying the excellent walking and some scrambling in the sunshine. On my only other visit, in 1986, I came up Stuc Coire an Loaigh (path) and went down to Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair directly, then to Coire Dubh Mor. Thus, with my brother Pete today, Sail Mhor and the Black Carls were new- and very exciting- terrain.pwheeler23/05/1992

From Glen Torridon. Motorway of a path into C Dubh Mor and a long mile around the shoulder of the vRP to loch side at 11.45. Loch fills the whole of corrie floor with triple buttress dominating the scene. By loch side and by 3 smaller lochans over stone terraces and a scramble on scree to the ridge. Pink and white rocks. Turned left on jagged white stones and up gently to top. 13.15. Alone on top for 5 minutes although there were a lot of people about. to C Mor.arranc05/06/1991
