From the Waterfall Walk via the N side of the hill and the NW ridge. | Chris Peart | 06/11/2018 |
3rd of 4 Marilyns in day car bagging with Jon Glew. Parked at track entrance 50m along A832 NW of Kerrysdale. Follow track past Kerrysdale SE before breaking off to open ground south of 161m spot height, following faint path east along Allt a Chathair before turning NE towards summit. First visible peak is not summit. Head up gully to its right gaining height to find summit to the right. Returned by direct SWly route back to Kerrysdale.
Total distance walked 2.98 miles with 352m of ascent. | SteveSmith | 06/02/2018 |
From Kerrysdale with Steve Smith. Some rough heathery ground to cover. Pleasant rocky peak. | jonglew | 06/02/2018 |
From Gairloch up the waterfall path. Then up steep snow covered heather to deer fence. Insteresting brackets attached to upright to aid climb over. Then up first the snowy gully, but snow too wet so ended up scrambling up the rocky bluff. Return by dropping down to the east then back through the glen. | N.Morters | 31/12/2017 |
With Meall an Dorein | Owen B | 16/02/2017 |
On way back from Meall an Doirein, up eastern slopes to summit then north down to deer fence (stile), easy to avoid crags, and onto waterfall path back to Gairloch. Great views out west. | AndrewFinnimore | 21/01/2017 |
Fine wee mini- mountain with a great view | Bongonog | 03/10/2016 |
From Old Inn up to end of Waterfall path. Gave up. | arranc | 26/08/2016 |
Using track that comes in from SE. Theough felled forest on good path. Aim off to crags as the path starts to descend and pick up the 4x4 track. Then the first grassy gulley direct to summit rocks. | nordicstar | 04/08/2016 |
A good little hill. All flooding today. Needs some deer in to eat all that grass! | jenx | 04/08/2016 |
Richard's penultimate Marilyn. Superb sunny clear day. We headed East on the north side of the river and where the excellent estate track ends, above the trees, there is a bridge across the river. From there it was about 250 m through undergrowth then an easy ascent over slabs and grass to reach the ridge. | Denise | 28/05/2016 |

MC, DS, IS. Climbed from Flowerdale House on day of storm Frank. Very heavy rain throughout. Up past waterfall, across small bridge and up through broken crags. Occasional views to Slioch on top. Hail. Direct descent to river. Very difficult ground. Remains of old shelter beside waterfall. Return by river, deer fence and bridge. | Martin66 | 30/12/2015 |
From the car park near the Old Inn at NG 81034 75168 (free). Took marked trail up Glen Flowerdale to waterfall, (worth a visit in itself) then fainter path into upper glen. Once over deer fence (stile) followed a faint path beside burn for over 1km, trying to find place to cross, as stream deep and full. Eventually found a narrow point to leap over at NG 84470 74260. Then climbed east flank of the hill to the summit. To descend, worked our way to Pt. 249m, then by a circuitous route (poor in mist) avoiding crags and under the deer fence down to bridge above waterfall, rejoining the outward route. A tough little hill, not to be under-estimated. With JK, KM and NP. My 1000th HuMP, as at this date! | marktrengove | 24/10/2015 |
After heavy rain a slog high up to the col to finally pcross the burn, then a short sharp ascent to the top. Views out to Skye, Rona and the Torridon Giants, in between hail and sleet showers. With Niall, John and Mark. | kenmorti | 24/10/2015 |
From dam on main road initially through forest via track. Left path and turned north. Therafter heavy rough ground. Great views of Torridon and Slioch. | Campbell Singer | 24/10/2015 |
Scramble from Flowerdale tourist path. | Martin R | 05/10/2015 |
Cycled up to the waterfall. Tried direct raid across the burn but quickly changed policy for the sensible path up the north side of the burn until well past Sithean Mor the summitted from the E side. | Eddie | 24/08/2015 |
From SE, surveyed at last, woolly hat blown off on top | alda | 22/07/2015 |
with mora, crisp winter day. | BLACKHILL | 21/02/2015 |
From Loch Bad an Sgalaig, via Meall Aundrary. | mae | 29/05/2014 |
