Along waterfall path, over fence. I intended to go straight for the summit, but Wes unable to safely cross the stream as it was in spate. Followed a stalkers path up the glen until I could cross. Up to summit from SE.CJM11/09/2023
Up waterfall path over deer fence as Gill describes along Glen & up from NE over a bit of tussock. Good views, found a stalkers track on way down which came down to 83891 74424.rogreeves07/07/2023

Up the N side of the waterfall walk. The bridge above the waterfall lands you in horrible tussocks below steep ground; much better to follow the path to the stile over the deer fence onto the stalker's path up Gleann a' Ghrobain. A few yards on, a clear path runs down parallel with the fence to a shallow river crossing. Steep grass and burnt heather up alongside the fence, then follow deer tracks across a flat section to some little rock steps to head SE along the top of the crags towards pt 340, then down and over a bump, down again on good deer tracks to a grassy neck below the centre of the summit crags. Little rock steps lead to a grassy ramp heading L, then up R to the top. Down NE following deer tracks through a steep drop off, then SE to a really big drop off, S around a couple of craggy ribs to an easy grassy descent, then NE down a grassy slope towards a bump. An ATV track leads NW down to the Allt a' Ghlinne, then expires just above a stony ford, where you join the good path Gill27/04/2022
From Red Stable to Meall Aundrary, two intervening tumps and Sithean Mor. Onwards to Meall an Doirein SW Top, Meall an Spardain and Meall an Doirein proper. Returned via Meall Loch na Feithe Mugaig and SE shore.lordtonult12/09/2021
From Charlestown up Waterfall Path.bertbarnett12306/05/2021

Initial route as per dbb from NG841721, then returned via tump Meall Lochan a' Charbaid to the east, followed by Teangadh Bhuidhe Mhor to the south, then back along right of way to parked car. Probably a shorter access route than from the west.willyross28/02/2021
Car park east side of main road at the pier. Estate track to waterfall, over deer fence stile, diagonally up. Great views today.iangalbraith17/10/2020
From the Old Inn to the waterfalls, then over the small footbridge above the falls and a rough hack up to the burned heather where whilst still steep better underfoot. Incredible views all around.Peterb02/10/2020
Parked by gate at 841721 (10:20) and bashed steeply N uphill for about 200m over rough ground to join the old route to Flowerdale. Followed this to about 834728 then went more or less direct to summit, following a faint path at first and crossing a small valley. Returned same route; finished 12:15 Cloudy but dry.dbb26/08/2020
Flowerdale car parkto the waterfall then to open ground and deer fence where there are steps. Headed directly to summit via burned bracken where the ground is now regenerating. Just over 3 hour return. Solo.bolton01/08/2020
Up path past the waterfall. Onto steeper hill ground and scramble up the last bit which is rock. Cold, very windy but fantastic view at the top. Slithery decent on previously burnt ground. With GMac.elizyanne19/10/2019
Nipped up from flowerdale with elizyanne while staying with friends at Big Sands.GmacT19/10/2019
From Gairloch CP. Same ascent route as Norman W. Descended NE to Allt a Ghlinne and back on FP; much easier. With Sam.ChrisR26/07/2019
From Gairloch up the waterfall path then up through burnt heather, over deer fence with footrests to summit. Then Meall Aundrary and An Groban on the way back.NormanW16/06/2019
From Kerrysdale (which sounds like a brand of butter from Lidl), then around south side of point 161, to north of Tòrr Liath and up the SE ridge. Descended more directly south from summit. Significant heather and gorse burning around point 161 and up to the 300m contour, which made going easier, though dusty and resulting in charcoaled legs. The burning also made the terrain look volcanic.Clive G05/05/2019
From Kerrysdale, cycled up track to about 100m then open ground to SE ridge. Choking ash from recent extensive fire.Topographer5730/04/2019
From the Waterfall Walk via the N side of the hill and the NW ridge.Chris Peart06/11/2018
3rd of 4 Marilyns in day car bagging with Jon Glew. Parked at track entrance 50m along A832 NW of Kerrysdale. Follow track past Kerrysdale SE before breaking off to open ground south of 161m spot height, following faint path east along Allt a Chathair before turning NE towards summit. First visible peak is not summit. Head up gully to its right gaining height to find summit to the right. Returned by direct SWly route back to Kerrysdale. Total distance walked 2.98 miles with 352m of ascent.mntainman06/02/2018
From Kerrysdale with Steve Smith. Some rough heathery ground to cover. Pleasant rocky peak.jonglew06/02/2018
From Gairloch up the waterfall path. Then up steep snow covered heather to deer fence. Insteresting brackets attached to upright to aid climb over. Then up first the snowy gully, but snow too wet so ended up scrambling up the rocky bluff. Return by dropping down to the east then back through the glen.N.Morters31/12/2017
With Meall an DoreinOwen B16/02/2017
On way back from Meall an Doirein, up eastern slopes to summit then north down to deer fence (stile), easy to avoid crags, and onto waterfall path back to Gairloch. Great views out west.AndrewFinnimore21/01/2017

From Old Inn up to end of Waterfall path. Gave up.arranc26/08/2016
Using track that comes in from SE. Theough felled forest on good path. Aim off to crags as the path starts to descend and pick up the 4x4 track. Then the first grassy gulley direct to summit rocks.nordicstar04/08/2016
A good little hill. All flooding today. Needs some deer in to eat all that grass!jenx04/08/2016
Richard's penultimate Marilyn. Superb sunny clear day. We headed East on the north side of the river and where the excellent estate track ends, above the trees, there is a bridge across the river. From there it was about 250 m through undergrowth then an easy ascent over slabs and grass to reach the ridge.Denise 28/05/2016

MC, DS, IS. Climbed from Flowerdale House on day of storm Frank. Very heavy rain throughout. Up past waterfall, across small bridge and up through broken crags. Occasional views to Slioch on top. Hail. Direct descent to river. Very difficult ground. Remains of old shelter beside waterfall. Return by river, deer fence and bridge.Martin6630/12/2015
From the car park near the Old Inn at NG 81034 75168 (free). Took marked trail up Glen Flowerdale to waterfall, (worth a visit in itself) then fainter path into upper glen. Once over deer fence (stile) followed a faint path beside burn for over 1km, trying to find place to cross, as stream deep and full. Eventually found a narrow point to leap over at NG 84470 74260. Then climbed east flank of the hill to the summit. To descend, worked our way to Pt. 249m, then by a circuitous route (poor in mist) avoiding crags and under the deer fence down to bridge above waterfall, rejoining the outward route. A tough little hill, not to be under-estimated. With JK, KM and NP. My 1000th HuMP, as at this date!Man of Kernow124/10/2015
After heavy rain a slog high up to the col to finally pcross the burn, then a short sharp ascent to the top. Views out to Skye, Rona and the Torridon Giants, in between hail and sleet showers. With Niall, John and Mark.kenmorti24/10/2015
From dam on main road initially through forest via track. Left path and turned north. Therafter heavy rough ground. Great views of Torridon and Slioch.Campbell Singer24/10/2015
Scramble from Flowerdale tourist path.Martin R05/10/2015
Cycled up to the waterfall. Tried direct raid across the burn but quickly changed policy for the sensible path up the north side of the burn until well past Sithean Mor the summitted from the E side.Eddie24/08/2015
