Went round the west side to climb a boulder field. Descended by an easier scree slope in a coire back to main path.Jhimmy23/09/2021

Easily from bothy to west, stream crossing easy, plenty of options without detouring to bridge straight up to Creag Mainreachan Buttress summit and across tyo Fuar Tholl. Descent north from bealach took me lower than I would have hoped for but could see no other option to get over to Raeburn's Buttress (Ruadh East Top). and easy descent back to stream and bothydickscroop01/09/2021
With John on a circuit of Beinn Liath Mhor, Sgorr Ruadh and Fuar Tholl from Achashellach. Cool and cloudy to start with but clouds cleared off tops as we made our way around and sun came out as we made our way up Fuar Tholl for a warm walk out. 8h 10min all-in, including lunch stop on Sgorr Ruadhmproudfoot06/06/2021
Fuar Toll - with Clare & Skye - another week in Loch Carron with Liz & Ken.Scmccabe 26/05/2021
From Achnashellach with Sgorr Ruadh and Beinn Liath Mhor. Came up the corrie, then descended down the ridge - slightly sketchy in a thin coating of snow.quadbarrel29/04/2021
From Coulags, direct line, terrain good above 400m.alda10/08/2020
On round of Coire Lair hills. There is a large cairn at NG 96661 49097. This marks the start of a rough path - firstly up scree, then steeply up a vegetated climb, after which easily onto the top. Great care needed when navigating in the clag.carole engel08/09/2019

With: hb; From Achnashellach Stn, up the Coire Lair path to the bealach then steeply west and the south east to the narrow summit of Sgorr Ruadh. We dropped south east to cross the wide and complex Bealach Mor in order to gain the path up Creag Mainnricheean, then over Mainreachan Buttress to the summit of Fuar Tholl. The River Lair was in spate so we dropped south west to Carn Eididh then southeast to the railway level crossing before walking back along the road to the start.Ian Baines27/05/2019
With: ib; From Achnashellach Stn, up Coire Lair to bealach then W and SE to Sgorr Ruadh. Dropped SE to cross Bealach Mor gaining path up Creag Mainnricheean, Mainreachan Buttress to Fuar Tholl. Dropped SW to Carn Eididh then SE to RLY Xing back to start. Helen Baines27/05/2019

From Coulags. Skirted Cnoc nan Each to the west (initially tough going up steep rocky heather), then steady going over Carn Eididh, direct to the summit.Owen B12/07/2018

Up the tourist route from Achnashellach. It's a round about route, but it is safe and offers great views of an impressive mountain. Lots of purple rock flowers around the summit, but no wind and just enough cloud to bring the midges out. Direct descent of craggy south east face, upper part is steep in places and the loose stones are pervasive.Topographer5706/06/2018
Climbed with Iain Gilbert, Barry and Fiona (Dundee Mountain Club) on Andrew's final munro weekend. Excellent day and interest ridge. Some snow left.amcculloch15/04/2018

69th – Solo. From Achnashellach station as an out and back, take path through forest following the River Lair, cross and follow path to col between summit and Munro (Sgorr Ruadh), ascend SE then E to summit. Two visual highlights: walking under a rainbow with both 'ends' coming to the ground, descending the summit sighting a Brocken Spectre and Glory (only second such sighting). Light rain early on, sunny with patchy cloud dropping below tops.RGibbs28/09/2017

From Coulags. Steady ascent to top of scree in drizzle and low cloud. OK on summit (trig gone!), good views into Coire Lair (and river in full spate). Sun broke through giving an impressive show of rainbows above the buttress.MichaelF15/09/2017
Round of Coire Lair with Tom Oldham and Russell from Achnashellach Station. Low cloud on Beinn Liath Mhor but cleared into a lovely sunny day from Coire Grannda. 20k, 8 hoursalexmaclennan07/05/2017

Summit 1 of 13 from Achnashellach station. Revisit to see what remains of trig. Grey day but high cloud and good views. Path from station round to north side of hill then straight up, loose and stony near top. Then on to visit some tops of Sgorr Ruadh and Beinn Liath Mhor.RHW15/06/2015

Part of Winter Mountaineering and skills course led by Kevin O'Neal and with Al Simpson. Should have been an easy day after yesterdays epic. Will say it was easIER but still tough in knee deep soft snow. Highlight was roped up with crampons and ice axe traversing east ridge from nose in tough (not full on) winter conditions.mntainman04/02/2015
With J during a week at Strathcarron. From Achnashellach station, followed paths to the col between Fuar Tholl & Sgorr Ruadh. Having looked at the gully from Coire Mainnrichean, we decided to climb round the side on to Creag Mainnrichean. This turned out to be wet & slippery higher up. Descended via the gully which was easier than it looked - should have gone up this way. Fine hill.NotReallyABagger12/11/2014

Aimed to do the munros but added this corbett to the walk, so glad I did thought it was the best peak of all of them. Such a great area. Company: Jake the Black Lab.iandesbottes14/06/2011
Followed paths to the col north of the top. Descended south east. Lots of mushy snow and cloud as the wind had returned to the SW.mindlessflogger22/02/2011
