Sgurr a' Chaorachain and Beinn Bhan from 200m elevation on the Bealach na Ba road, with John. Tough steep ascent up Sgurr a' Chaorachain through bands of crags, before reaching the summit. Headed clockwise around to the big mast/antennae array, then descended down the rocky terrain towards Carn Dearg before dropping into Bealach nan Arr and then the final ascent up to Beinn Bhan. Descent back down SSE to the road, then a 1-mile/100m reascent up the road back to the car. Tough day due to the terrain, but glad to get these done. 6h 17min total time.mproudfoot01/04/2023
Parking for one car just after the bend in the road above the salmon farm at NG822411. Pathless ground most of the way up to the South Top. Great views following the cliff edge all the way up to the trig point. Followed faint path most of the way back which is quicker. Solo.Dangerous Dave24/09/2022
Parked by bridge at Drochaid Mhor, walked SW along road to where overhead wires cross the road on a bend (NG826411), then up Beinn Bhan SE ridge, working over and around rock outcrops, to South Top, then main summit and round the edge of Coire an Fhamhair to Sròn Coire an Fhamhair, and W to its West Top, returning to rim of Coire an Fhamhair and descending on an eroded trail down to the corrie floor, then SE past the N shore of Lochan Coire na Poite and across the moorland on a variety of intermittent trails, eventually reaching the stalkers' path, and back to Drochaid Mhor (6h20m)kdbennett03/05/2022

Early start from Bealach na Ba after a wild camp.kojak27/06/2021
Up the good track from the bridge on road to, almost, the loch and then to and straight up the nose of Sron Coire an Fhamhair (Ct). Very exposed in places and not easy. Better line is to left in the coire and up headwall on grass. then south along ridge to Beinn Bhan (C), a diversion to A Cioch (I think??) and on to Beinn Bhan S top (Ct) and drop easly down to road.dickscroop07/05/2021

From Bealach na Ba parking. Up the track, then south. This section was unpleasant, large boulders at awkward angles with ankle breaking crevices. Contoured round to Bealach nan Arr. Then after an initially rocky ascent straightforward to the summit trig, on an ENE bearing in the mist. On the return cut the corner SSW from Bealach nan Arr back to the parking, a bit better but still managed to collect a large bruise on my shin. Rained all the way back from the summit. No time to bag the other nearby Corbett.Owen B10/07/2018

65th – With Allan. From minor road part way up pass to Applecross (by bend at 220m), easy scramble up SE face to summit (Sgurr a Chaorachain), follow the highest line around to Beinn Bhan (quite rocky ground), descend SE ridge of Beinn Bhan to minor road. Mostly dry, broken cloud occasionally lowering below tops building throughout afternoon.RGibbs25/09/2017

A grey second day on the RBS HWC Torridon May weekend. We (Peter Price and I) started from below the top of the Bealach na Ba road. We followed a good track down and then across open ground before rising to the skyline again. We had brief views, but generally walked in low cloud most of the day. We used the SatMap as a key aid for route finding, especially near the top and on descent. We had a pint in the Applecross Inn before returning to the YHlangskill24/05/2015

On a sunny day using the path from the Applecross road with J & Shaky during a Strathcarron stay. Followed it until it peters out & then on to the Bealach nan Arr over very rough ground. Over pt. 676m where the ground was teemming with frogs! The mist temporarily settled over the summit of Beinn Bhan, but cleared to give a great view. Back by the same route.NotReallyABagger24/06/2014

With two friends. We parked beside the bridge where the Applecross road crosses the Russel Burn. We walked NE to join the ridge coming down from Beinn Bhàn. We ascended this ridge easily, going over a couple of minor tops with impressive views of A’ Chioch. We reached the summit of Beinn Bhàn where we had lunch. We went SW over a minor top and found a stalkers’ path going down to Bealach nan Arr. We followed the path which continued beyond the bealach under Carn Dearg. We left the path to go S to reach point 776m, and over two minor tops to reach the summit of Sgùrr a’ Chaorachain. We descended the steep slopes to the SE. They were easier than expected with small rocky steps, where difficulties could be easily got round. The weather held good all day in spite of the forecast not being all that promising.pwbellarby08/11/1997

From Tornapress, along the foot of the E. Corries- old guidebooks say how rough this is, but worth it because it's such stunning scenery. By 1992, the deer had been at the vegetation and this wasn't that hard. The mural precipices were still magnificent. A good ridge took us up to the lochan on the ridge about 1 mile N of the summit.
