Cycled in from Incheril to the bothy. Then the stalkers path until I lost it. Made my own way to the HPAndrew Simmons28/03/2024

Cycled in 4.5 miles from Incheril to Leckie on good track. Made schoolboy error of not looking at map at this point to see where the stalkers path started from and continued along the track on foot for another 1/4 mile to its end at bridge across river and then proceeded foolhardy along the north side of the river expecting the path to suddenly become obvious. When it didn't I looked at map to discover it heads off uphill from Leckie!! Started to make my way north over rough ground and eventually crossed the big burn at the foot of the south western slopes of BnR. From here the going was easier on soft wet ground until reaching the ridge at 650m where ground was harder and easy walk along to top. Returned via An Carnan before picking up stalkers path back to Leckie.Jossker02/09/2023

From Meall a' Chaorainn, descending the easy NW broad ridge, then more steeply down to the ATV track to the dam. Not much evidence on the ground of the path to the stepping stones. Found the stepping stones, but after overnight rain they were mostly submerged and unusable. Plodged across the wide stream, up to mid-calf height on good footing. Got into a good rhythm up the steady grassy slope. Cloud base at 650m so disappointing views, very blowy at the top. Returned to the stepping stones and the dam, then fairly good ground and hints of a path up Allt a' Choire Bhuig. Peat hags over the col very awkward, wet and slow going. Common greenshank seen and heard here. Then picked up the track back to Achnasheen.Owen B24/06/2023

From Incheril car park. Bike to the bothy with CM. A plod up the stalkers path and then direct to the summit. Damp, cloudy but clear at the summit. Under 4.5 miles to the bothy and a further 3.5 miles walk to the summit.bolton18/09/2022
From CP at Incheril. Biked to Leckie bothy. Filled stalkers track from bothy to its end, then direct to summit. Had a wonder around the summit area to all contenders. With PM.CJM18/09/2022
From CP to SW (Bruachaig) - good biking to Leckie (NH 0966 6456). Path as mapped - ends at a swamp (NH 1103 6592). Grassy climb to top. Easy over to Meall Chuaich - trig and Simcarole engel13/09/2022

Cycled up to Leckie bothy, then stalkers path, later ATV track, to roughly NH 108658. Crossed stream and finally a steady pull up to summit and cairn. Stunning views behind to Fisherfield, Slioch, Beinn Eigh - and much more. Return same wat, enjoying the scenery for a second time. 10mile cycle, 8 walk, 5 hours.MichaelF24/05/2022
Walked from Incheril to Leckie (bike broken) past 3 hydro schemes. Up the good stalkers path which becomes a vehicle track higher up and leads across the moor to Caochan Mor then off piste over Allt na Slataich and up the hill. Easy grass at first then more typical and seemingly endless Grahams bog vegetables to the summit plateau/broad ridge, so very glad of dry weather and the splendid views. Glad to find solifluction terraces higher up and then nice mossy ground for much easier going towards the summit.Gill26/04/2022

Had been standing on summit of Meall a’Chaorainn at 1:30pm when I decided to continue over to Beinn nan Ramh. Descended north west from Meall a’Chaorainn summit to pick up the old stalkers track at the approx 500m contour (had decided not to go into Corrie Bog as the name was not enticing) then descended on this track to the north east. Ground was relatively dry and not much water about so managed to cross the river just east of the dry stone wall. Saw evidence of cows having been in this valley but saw no cows. Slogged up hill to west of Coire Bhuidhe then up to summit. Worth the effort for the views. Descended back to river then slogged back up stalkers path to south east. Once on the shoulder of Meall a’Chaorainn I continued on the stalkers path and descended down Feadan Duchairidh to the forest and the road. Got to the road at 8:30pm just after sunset and then walked 4km in dark back to Achnasheen arriving back at car at 9:20pm. Good stretch of the legs today.assynt_bob04/09/2021

From Incheril. Excellent track up the glen to Leckie bothy which is in reasonable condition. Left the bikes and took stalker’s path before long steady haul up to summit.Campbell Singer09/05/2018
