9/10 1 hr until dark from the marilyn of Cruach Lerags with -2 tops to go -trying to hurry though dead bracken doesn't really work - used 25 mins across rough moorland slanting down, up, down, up and across a subsidiary ridge to reach Cnoc na Culaige. The dipping sun picking out in shadows the many bumps of this lumpy terrain. Then powered through more leg entangling bracken to get over Dun Ormidale and down through the crags to the lovely coastal estate driveway just before dark- thanks to Gill et al for praising this route. Atmospheric walk in falling darkness - listening to the geese, and munching a sandwich - too relaxed as I stood in an unseen pothole, fell face first, but somehow pulled off a 'parachute roll'. Luckily I was just dusty and scuffed (Category 1). Sandwich was sadly Category 5. | Chris Pearson | 12/11/2023 |

Bus to Glengallan Road. By McKelvie Road and Glenshellach Road to bend by Gallanach Beg. Track to east of farm and across flat ground, then more or less due south to ridge over rough pasture with some animal and ATV tracks, and south-westwards to summit. Light cloud, light wind, some hazy sun. No rain, but ground very wet. View out to Garvellachs and across to Mull. Back along ridge to Cnoc Loch Gleann a' Bhearraidh. | mainnirnamfiadh | 19/01/2019 |
