Tramp up through the heather from road to West. Fantastic full rainbow from the late afternoon/ sun singing through one of the myriad of short squalls today.... Marilyn 998vegibagger27/09/2022
As others parked at junction opposite mast (big viewpoint parking area). Through gate, followed bits of various ATV tracks up to ridge then along to summit, back in a pretty much direct line. 30 mins to top, 55 mins round trip. 1.7 miles. This little Marilyn is worth it for yhe excellent views of Ben Loyal.JulieB25/04/2022
Parked at road junction, through gate, straight up.iangalbraith09/10/2021

From the road junction at 599560. Up through the very wet ground for a 45 minute round trip. Great views from the summit. Solo.bolton01/09/2019
Parked near the road junction to the west then directly up heather slopes to Meall nan Clach Ruadha, then onward to Beinn Bhreac and finally Meall Leathad na Craoibhe on a grey cloudy morning with drizzle for the final Tump and journey back to car.Dugswell218/05/2019
Fab little Marilyn done with trimarc2 (as well as Beinn Bhreac). Out and back from parking space in just over an hour. Great weather and beautiful views of Ben Loyal.Fionalevey11/05/2019
After Beinn Bhreac with Fionatrimarc211/05/2019
short cross-country flog from minor road junction with A836 to the south-west. Good parking. KeithByTheC22/04/2019
Parked at the road junction to the SSW. Pathless to the summit, excellent views back to Ben Loyal.Owen B21/04/2019
Quick jog from the viewpoint.amswanston31/08/2018
A nice evening stroll from the viewpoint car park on the minor road into Tongue village, by the radar mast. Patches of burnt off heather make the hill look scruffy, but it’s a quick and easy walk with good views of Ben Loyal and Beinn Stumanadh.Gill08/05/2018
From viewpoint just south end of Tongue. Up easy slopes in 35mins. Great views even Orkney. 3/3N.Morters06/05/2018
5 of 5: From A836 Jn above Tongue. 600561ChrisR26/03/2018
From the view point C.P. Too warm, a cold breeze would be nice. A tedious hill.Play2End21/06/2017
From the good roadside CP above Tongue. Simple ascent up reasonable ground avoiding wet patches. Not a bog trot by any means Martin. Up and down in 40 mins.nordicstar15/06/2016
A quick and easy ascent from the small parking area at the road junction.jenx15/06/2016
A quick up and down from the road junction above Tongue. Just followed heather burnings for easiest route. Great views from summit plus very audible explosions from the military bombing range over on Cape Wrath - the NATO exercise must have been in airborne phase today. Good old red sandstone conglomerate rocks on summit and slopesSpudGunn14/04/2016
Solo trip. Farthest west outcrop of Old Red Sandstone along the north coast.Invicta1407/04/2016
On the way back from Stroma to Lairg. From the SW, small parking area on minor road just off the A836. No paths but terrain and vegetation fairly comfortable by local standards.Topographer5722/08/2015
Easy up and down from road junction where there is decent parkingAndrewFinnimore21/09/2014
A bog trot.Martin R26/05/2014
A 6 mile round trip saw us take in 3 hills to the east of the Kyle of Tongue that run north-south, this Marilyn being the southerly of those hills. No paths, but a lovely boggy morass to negotiate - what fun! At least we had hot sunny weather which gave great near distant views - bit hazy in the distance. Parking was part way up the access track to the Ben Tongue comms mast.jonglew24/05/2012

Late afternoon ascent after climbing Beinn Stumanadh.JohnW09/06/2011
Car park on A 838. North on road turning into a tarred road uphill towards masts. After passing farm became a rough track, through 2 gates. Visibility 100m. Left track at its high point to cross moor on a gentle slope on compass. From small hump downhill for final climb on rough heather to top, passing ruins of a rusty mast. Neat cairn of smooth stones. 10.50. No view - mist.arranc28/07/2008
