Parked on Road to Glencanisp Lodge. Windy start, long walk on good paths to foot of gully then steep rocky climb to saddle. Exposed in places on climb to summit. Return by same route.Argentum6620/08/2021
Cloud masked summit until late in day. No viewsAjm031020/07/2021
Amazing hike, about 22k all round. Gave me vertigo going over the little paths Didn't go to both peaks which is a mistake. Will definitely be doing it again.NCurtis06/06/2021
From Glencanisp honesty box. Long walk in followed by arduous ascent.Spectacular hill.Topographer5728/05/2021
From Glencanisp Lodge with J on a blustery day. Unfortunately by the time we reached the foot of the gully, the mist had descended but we continued anyway. The wind made a couple of places on the top part interesting. Had a more leisurely stroll back down and out, passing 3 tents which had appeared by the lochans since our ascent and a lot of other people striding determinedly upwards with large packs. We got back to the car about 15 minutes before the forecasted deluge started. Hope the campers were all pitched before the weather really deteriorated!NotReallyABagger20/05/2021
From Glencanisp Lodge, Lochinver. At last, and a fabulous day. The new path up to the col made by the John Muir trust is a real help although snow and ice made it a little tricky in places.Peterb14/04/2021
Kayak in Loch Veyatie with strong following winds, camp overnight at the foot of the loch then climbed the mountain from the south side and overnighted at the camp then paddled out in flat calm conditions A fabulous trip.Guy Heelis17/09/2020
MC JC O. Round trip in 5 hrs from CP after getting van fixed. Dry ... except on reaching the top, where the only rain of the day fell. This is a return visit having made a 4.5 hr trip one Jan day about 29 yrs ago which ended in failure. Wind, snow and darkness about 5 mins from the top! A long awaited return. Great path to the side of the hill. So much improved from the bog trot of before.Great day.Martin6601/09/2020
From Lochinver, parking 1km before Gelncanisp lodge, then along track E to the start of the new John Muir Trust track which runs S, climbing to the bealach in the middle of centre, then up to the summit, returning same way. With JAS.kdbennett18/08/2020
A long but pleasant walk from the car park at Inverkirkaig. Back the same way. Great views on top. Solitude broken by a large guided group who had come up from the other side. Solo.Dangerous Dave30/09/2019
Started from wild camp by Loch na Gainimh. Followed by scramble to Meall Meadhonach, then back down ascent gully. Clear dry conditions. Good path. Retrieved camping gear, walked out.Morning25/08/2019
From Glencanisp. Slept in bothy before walking out next morning.KevPalmer26/06/2019
Suilven is a very dramatic Dromedary Marilyn, as Meall Meadhonach is a HuMP summit, whose HumQuaCo-line falls within Suilven's Maquaco-line (150metres below the summit) it also has two further TuMPs so its RHB numerical rating is 01:02:04 (1 Marilyn, two Humps, four TuMPs) . 06.45 with Jay Mistry, Rick Lomas, Brad Womersley & Kevin Cooke....an epic, after a snowy cold camp underneath the northern flanks. Been lusting after this baby since I was 15.vegibagger04/05/2019
From Lochinver with BDanmawr04/05/2019
Alex Heenan, Barry McGarahan, Craig Brackenridge Walked in the night before and camped overnight at the base of the climb. Early start and we summited before 10. then headed of to the other peak. After a small climb of around 2 meters which was quite exposed, reached the next summit around 11. Back down at the bottom for 12 and back in Lochinver not long after that. To keep the Ladies at home happy we headed off to Aviemore to stay in Craig's in laws caravan and have a well earned show, meal and drinks out. All in all a top weekend away with good mates.ian-e27/04/2019

Suilven and Meall Meadhonach W top from Suilbeag bothy Still snow about and a bot tired so gave the two other SW tops a miss - a bit intimidated by it in the conditions. though on checking on line later not as hard asit looks - at least to ther third top.dickscroop31/03/2019

The second best mountain ive ever climbed. from Lochinver. Awesome dayWayne Mac09/08/2017
Been wanting to climb Suilven for thirty years. Finally got round to it with son and wife on a fabulously sunny afternoon. Be careful on the way down - had to go and rescue a walker who tumbled 20 metres after slipping on scree. Thankfully nothing broken and he managed to walk down with us.summitter22/07/2017

From Inverkirkaig, exactly 4 hours, just as the book says. There was a large fire on the south of Suilven at the beginning of May. The cliffs poking like skeletons out of the blackened earth was quite a sight. The fire damage was right up to the summit ridge. Quite a lot of new grass has sprouted out of the ashes in the 3 weeks, bright green against the black.David Bell30/05/2017
With Andy Ward. First from walker's car park to Suileag bothy to drop off overnight stuff, then up the hill from there. Decent weather.trainingforwinter30/03/2017

Fantastic mountain, great wild camp. Underestimated the terrain, very boggy adding a couple of hours on our timings meaning ascent in the dark. Definitely a mountain that needs to be earned.DaveMc10/10/2014
