Ably assisted by guide Tim Hamlet (Hamlet Mountaineering) - £260 - for a full day, although I was in a rush, so just did the Graham in 2.5 hrs. Just 4 moves up the Guardian. Exposed one side only.carole engel04/09/2023
Hadnt intended to do Stac Pollaidh today but too tempting on way past. What a great wee hill! Anti clockwise circuit including all the topsdaviemore19/07/2022
Today I did it! With the help of Mountain Guide Tim Hamlet, I negotiated the bad step, not very elegantly, but successfully. It feels like winning a Gold Medal. Thanks, Tim.IanHHill09/09/2021
Treacherous weather reached the peak apart from the last scramble to the top (apparently toughest in the uk) looked more of a rock climb than a scramble . Marilyn no. 51The-Z-Man09/08/2021

Having backed away from the tough scramble at the top in 1994, I employed Paul Tattersall to guide me safely to the true summit with ropes. Thoroughly recommended. Was supposed to be showery and windy, but stayed dry and mild with only a light to moderate breeze, so spent plenty of time at the top soaking up the awesome views. Was fun to traverse from the east to west summits then down a steep gully to get off. Great short day.Owen B29/09/2017
Dik and I had a great afternoon scrambling about on Stac Pollaidh, and like many, stopped at The Tower, but I hope to return there one day and conquer the west summit.Lou28/09/2017
Good scrambling weather, final move not too difficult! Lovely sunset light on Suilven.twg2704/09/2017

Late for the summit party owing to a flat tyre, had to flag down a car and request a lift to start. Not a bad day though in the end. Well done Richard M.alda29/05/2016

Revisit with Richard Mclellan who had managed to save this superb peak as his final Marilyn - joined by a good group of friends including 4 of the 7 previous Marilyns completers and several who appreciated the rope kindly provided for the little scrambly tower just before the summit. Fantastic hill, great views despite not very good weather. Did all three tops. Not as hard as guide book makes out, but when met with the big step on the west (highest) top, the gully to the left is an easier option. A wonderful complex mountain with rewards far greater than its height might suggest.nicolajane16/06/2015

Rockhoppers trip (about 20 out in total on the day) up Stac Pollaidh (612m) in glorious weather. Scramble between pinnacles on top. Strong winds in places made the scramble even more fun.tobywharne01/01/2014

Very windy, but managed the true western summit climb.indianajane24/03/2013
Good weather. Great little hill within a fantastic\unique landscape. Had fun scrambling around on the top. The final ascent had one final tricky part - the problem being I was worried about commiting and then not being able to get back down - it actually proved easier to descend as you could jump down to the path. Great fun!scholesy09/10/2012
With family. The guidebooks make it sound a lot worse than it actually is I think. There is one marginally difficult move, but that is it. A great hill with awesome views. One of my Scottish favourites for sure.AGWilliamson19/09/2012
With GB on the main tourist path to the ridge and then pinnacles to the west. Unsure whether we reached the correct one.bolton11/09/2012
From car park took path around the E. side of the hill & then up to the col - W. along ridge, but didn't attempt the exposed scramble up the final pinnacle to the summit: Unticked. (PM)gerrybowes11/09/2012
Midges are us, but apart from that an excellent mountain..A must for everybody to complete.. 1 of my favs, with plenty of scrambling too.Mc Tango20/08/2012
A short but quite steep walk up from the road. The east summit is easily gained but the true, western summit takes a little nerve in negotiating the rock stacks, the last of which requires a short but exposed climb (easyish hand and foot holds). A head for heights is definitely needed, but it's not as difficult as the guide books state.jonglew19/05/2012

After Quinag the previous day, the weather had broken but it dried up in the afternoon. Went round to have a look in the afternoon with Shaky & found ourselves on the top before we knew it. Didn't find the last bit too hard in ascent, but descent needed more care. Fortunately the rock had dried out from its soaking earlier in the day.NotReallyABagger01/06/2006

Diff rock climb with Ian up SW Buttress -put up by one of the pioneers - roped up and picked our way up roughly where we thought it went -much scope for variation- good sense of pioneering - especially when sleet and snow began to be driven in by the wind -luckily we were partly sheltered. Came across Baird's Pinnacle. Went up to summit and along the ridge again to far east end -quicker this time in colder weather -no flaffing around. Repeated the 'pinnacle jump'Chris Pearson08/04/1988

Drumbeg cottage gang. A gloriously sunny day. Great fun exploring endless scrambling problems along the ridge and pinnacles- many photos, esp on the 'pinnacle jump' and 'walking the plank'. Explored a descent down a gully just S of summit, steep and awkward -bridging across a long slab covered in loose stones. Soon off rock (sadly)down onto very steep spiky grass then heather.Chris Pearson01/04/1986

Wonderful little mountain so characteristic of Coigach. Went up the S side today, my notes-even back in 1980- imply 'never again', when I went up with my brother years later we used the zig-zags on the N side both up and down. The ridge is a joy. Don't miss the summit- there's a very exposed step but the scrambling is only Grade 1. Fine days with the lochans below reflecting blue skies.pwheeler19/05/1980
