Straight up from Sligachen then round to Beinn Dearg Mhor and back to carjustin99905/06/2023
The Red Cuillin ridge from Sligachan. Up the lovely Druim na Ruaige ridge to Beinn Dearg Mheadhonach then a quick down and back up Ciche na Beinne Deirge. Next the big boys ... Beinn Dearg Mhor and Glamaig before a descent to the A87 via An Coileach. Although a three mile walk back along the A87 to Sligachan was required due to no one picking up hitch-hikers any more, it did not spoil a fabulous walk. 6.5 hrs total.summitter21/05/2023

17km in 5.5hrs. Lots of steep ups and downs and delightful sound of deer rutting en route back to the car. Glamaig, An Coileach, Beinn Dearg Mhor, Beinn Dearg Mheadhonach, Ciche na Beinne DeirgeNicky C17/10/2021

From layby at 4986 3061 east of Sligachan, walk east 250m along road to gate then short distance up track and up to west shoulder at about 600m. Very steep grass in places but almost all scree can be avoided. Thereafter there is scree but it is not too steep. A nice grassy summit with all round views. Afternoon hill fog forecast so retraced my GPS track back down. Fog did not materialise. Two days later I climbed Beinn Dearg Mhor from where there was a clear view of Sgurr Mhairi's south east ridge and was truly thankful that I did not attempt it!Topographer5727/06/2021
Direct from Sligachan Hotel. Brutal. Descended very steeply to Bealach na Sgairde. Some descent scree to slide down. KeithByTheC17/09/2020

Solo fr NE (over An Coileach). Glorious views! Blue skies and sunshine, lots of cloud to east. 8am to 10.15am in total. Had time to do other Skye Corbett but felt tired and opted instead to drive to Kinlochewe and set up camp at the free site at Taagan, which was perfect. No wind, no insects!NorfolkPT2111/04/2019
Early solo start in good conditions. Wet underfoot then a gruesome climb up the western side. Best to avoid the scree as much as possible - the grass is much easier. Great views. Headed to Dearg Mhor.bolton05/10/2018
Best day of the week in Shiel Bridge. Did a circuit and walked back on the road.iansm14/09/2018

Very sunny, very hot, very steep scree - almost torture and brutality. Hazy views despite sun.Jhimmy02/06/2018
Glamaig (Sgurr Mhairi) and An Coileach from A87 near Loch Sligachan. Cloudy, but bright day with some blue sky.knarf25/04/2018

From the road to the north and a very steep climb to the summit of An Coilleach then a pleasant walk along the ridge to the main summit, Sgurr Mhairi. Windy again so dropped back to bealach between the two, down easily to the west and worked our way to join the road at our start point. A good route back.dickscroop28/09/2017
anticlockwise circuit from Sligachan south for 2.5 km up Allt na Measarroch, up north on to Ciche na Beinne Deirge, over Beinn Dearg Mheadhonach, BD Mhor, out to An Coileach and finally back along the beautifull grassy ridge to Glamaig summit, Sgurr Mhairi.... And maybe this is a surprising and perhaps a record.. All done in my Hunter wellies.. The heals didn't like the running down the final screes to The Slig.vegibagger04/06/2017
Done with GHC from the Slig, very steep ascent form the bealach (1hr), but only 20mins back down the scree!Play2End03/06/2017
On a round from Slig with Steve Smith. Nice scree run down to the col from BD Mhor and ascent not as step as perceived from the previous summit. On to the other end of Glamaig - An Coileach - before an interesting descent down Corie na h Airighe.jonglew07/05/2017
On a very clear day ascended from west managing to avoid most of the scree. Carried on to then do Beinn Dearg Mhor & Beinn Dearg Mheadhonachduchally18/06/2016

Final summit of Glamaig horseshoe from Sligachan. Steep, tiring ascent on scree from bealach, although fun on way down. In and out of cloud at summit, good views of Black Cuillin when out of cloud.quadbarrel17/10/2013
MMC Skye weekend at Carbost Old Inn. Solo walk from Glamaig to Marsco.DK and Kevin did the reverse of my walk. Sunny and dry. Much of Black Cullin in whispy mist. 7 1/2 hours.alexmaclennan14/09/2013
Week in Skye with Mum. Cloudy and wet all day so did the Beinn Deargs and Glamaig - fairly big walk! Lovely ascent up Druim na Ruaige, horrible scree coming off NW end of BD Mhor, Glamaig from the bealach only slightly better, then back down Allt Daraich for miserable bogtrot back to hotel.Mark Jackson15/07/2013
