From 533266 on the A850 with Dangerous Dave, CM, Gill R, Lorraine Kane, Libby Daultrey. Great walk up to the col on easy ground and then to the summit in clear conditions.bolton22/05/2023
Surprisingly easy walk up fhe SE ridge, as described by bolton & CJM. With Jill, Lorraine, Libby, Chris & Phil.Dangerous Dave22/05/2023
Came along the BDM ridge and dropped down to Mam a Phobuill. Picked up main track that follows fence line SW up the broad shoulder onto the main ridge. Then NW along ridge to summit. Very small cairn for a mountain of such stature. Although the ridge is quite narrow at this point but not exposed. Continued NNE down edge of Coire nan Laogh to a grassy band that drops back down easily into the corrie and back onto the main path back to Sligachan.Jossker22/04/2023
A boggy slog from Loch Ainort to the bealach and up into the mist on SE ridge. Short and narrow summit ridge then descent via Màm a ' Phobuill. A hard walk for a small hill!peebs19/09/2022

From the layby on the A87 at the head of Loch Ainort, via Druim Eadar Da Choire. Returned via Mam a' Phobuill. Cloud above around 900m; Sunny otherwise with occasional mist patchesgeoffh1213/04/2022
From Slig to Marsco by more or less SMC route. Surprisingly narrow summit ridge. Summit in cloud, but some weather windows giving fantastic views. Descent via SE ridge then contoured round & up to Ruadh Stac & then down to join track- its a long way back to Slig.ger18/09/2021
MC JC O. From L. Ainort. Up to beach and along a fine ridge with some minor scrambling. Summit has a fine VP of the Black Cuillin and Bla Bheinn. Headed N. From the summit and dropped steeply down aiming for a grass rake. Mistake. Had to traverse v. steep ground above extensive cliff band. From there, back to the car in an hour.Martin6630/08/2021
From Sligeachan, for new path keep left at statues. Continue to Allt na Measarroch then left up left bank to Bealach Phobuill and line of metal fence posts onto main ridge. Retraced steps down then right under uncertain SE ridge and around to Ruadh Stac. It became evident that a much shorter and easier route would have started from the east via Coire nam Bruadaran and included a direct descent of SE ridge.Topographer5728/06/2021

From NG 5343 2672, via Ciche na Beinne Deirge. Up into Coire nan Laogh then taking a steep grassy slope on N side of the coire. On to Ruadh Stac.jonglew02/10/2019
From Sligachan campsite via Glen Sligachan. After climbing up in mist the whole area cleared as i reached the summit with full panoramic views & an inversion to boot. On own.MorecambeMonkey18/05/2019
From Ciche na Beinn Deirge. Stopped at Mam a' Phobuill for a snack, to remove scree from boots and psyche-up for the ascent. Ascent up northern spur not too bad. Superb summit ridge. On to Druim Eadar Da Choire.Wycombe Wanderer25/03/2019
BWA. From Sligachan with Alan M. Up between two shallow Corriedale, pretty steep, down south ridge to first coll then down fence.softsquare19/02/2019
Marsco is a beast of a hill, but with a splendid summit ridge. Along the excellent path from Sligachan to a good path following the N side of the Allt na Measarroch, and then steeply up the line of the fence from the Mam a'Phobuill, still on the path, to gain the narrow summit ridge. A fine viewpoint. Down the SE ridge (some scrambling) and into Am Fraoch Coire to link easily onto Ruadh Stac, perhaps an even better viewpoint. The descent down the NW ridge is easy at first, then very steep, but only requires all fives for a short rocky section. The walk back along the path in Glen Sligachan is invariably somewhat tedious; the views become dull towards the end.Gill18/07/2018
Nice Graham to climb, final ridge was narrow and top fairly small.Jhimmy05/06/2018
Final peak, total of 9 hours walking today and only one view from previous peak. Always wanted to do this peak, shame the weather and views were not obliging. At least navigating was refreshed. Company: Soloiandesbottes07/05/2018
From the coast road an initially boggy start after some wet weather but then a steep climb to a fine little ridge. Well lives up to its reputation as the best viewpoint on Skye - really excellent. Very windy so dropped of ridge to east after the small bealach for an easy descent out of the wind and back to roaddickscroop27/09/2017

My first ascent despite visiting Skye since 1984! From Sligachan via Mam a'Phobuill, then up a nice ridge, then steep slopes, to a col at 630 m. The summit ridge narrowed to an attractive grassy arete. Back down via Am Fraoch-choire- pleasant and easy after a very dry spell; the ridge leading from Ruadh Stac bounding this corrie looked rough and awkward to descend. Long walk back along Glen Sligachan but very enjoyable- a good day with long views inland but the Black Cuillin topped with cloud.pwheeler12/06/2016
As I stood at the highest point taking in the view, a golden eagle took off from behind the bump about 20 metres further north west along the ridge and swooped low down to the north west.Owen B11/05/2016

from R Stac. Back to first bealach. Line of fence posts and bits of WDP led steeply uphill, with boulder scrambles to a rock tower which I passed to the left. 4 others on the top as I passed underneath. Gradient eased with a WDP to the top at 13.40. Last 200m was a knife edge - luckily it was flat calm. Blaven, Loch na Creitheach, R Stac, Eigg, S na Stri, Rum' Black Cuillin, 2 Tables, Sligachan, Storr, Old Man, Glamaig, Dun Caan, B na Caillich, Belig and G Bheinn. Magic.arranc18/05/2008
