After Finland Hill, easy walk. Continued to the subhump which has a trig.Adrian26/06/2022
Worth adding the Trig to the NE if you are here.summitter12/06/2022
From the hp on the main road, via Finlarg Hill, then a walk between bwf and electric fence, then into field of sheep for hp. On to the trig, since it was so near.NormanW03/05/2022

Good layby parking NO 4029 4159. Kind house owner over road - Lumleyden - directed me to the hop-over in his garden onto the hill (NO 4042 4156 - please ask first before using - up drive into washing line area). Nice walk via Finlarg Hill - but several awkward fences to climb (I'm old and decrepit)carole engel11/05/2021

P layby - thick heather and snow occ paths to Ironside. No paths to Gallow but some back to car. Up the other side through steep and thick heather to field and Finlarg and onto Hayston. Barbed wire fence along field boundaries with parallel electric fence but walked back along gap.chrisbien14/01/2017

This was a poignant visit as my forebears farmed Upper Hayston from around 1800 till 1971 when my Great Uncle Jimmy died.chalky195317/03/2014
