A circuit of Middlethird Hill, Lewis Hill and the reservoir from NS 7706 9074. A fine walk along the edge and surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. | summitsup | 04/09/2021 |

Easy after Middlethird hill and back to car near Shielbrae. Middlethird is the better viewpoint of this fine ridge. | Thearlaichdubh | 30/12/2019 |
With Middlethird Hill. Superb walk | hillsman | 31/10/2019 |
From the south, up the obvious path to summit. Explored the cliff line. Sunny and first signs of snow on Ben Vorlich to the north. | N.Morters | 26/10/2019 |
Enjoyable walk up to the trig pillar and great views of the reservoir. | Delta68 | 04/08/2019 |
Pleasant walk with great views. Slight detour as bridge over last stream is closed | Al_N | 03/07/2019 |
Parked in rough layby along with overturned trailer and dog-walkers' vans. Across the road and on to the path then followed th distinct path through the woods then on up to the summit with its white trig point. Impressive views north and south but somewhat limited due to heavy cloud and rain at times. On to Middle Third Hill | Jubilado | 17/06/2019 |

Fire smouldering on top. We managed to reduce it a bit, involving a jungly trip down to the reservoir and back for more water, but had to call the fire brigade to finish the job. Idiots had chucked a hot barbecue down the cliff (as well as cans, glass bottles etc). Some people would be mentally outclassed by the average amoeba | IainT | 16/07/2018 |
Started from the CP by the concrete bridge North of the escarpment. There is some forestry working taking place this summer, but no need to deviate from the escarpment Edge path. The summit of Middlethird hill is one of a number of y mounds on either side of the path where it bows towards the grassy apron of the dam, probably the around the lower trunk of a Scots pine. Here and the summit of Lewis Hill are superb viewpoints. Returned via the western bank of the reservoir and wished I hadn't, given the amount of litter in an otherwise beautiful landscape. | Nick Down1 | 24/06/2018 |
Enjoyable amble up whilst searching for geocaches hidden in the area. | 3 kinnears | 08/04/2018 |
lewis hill and middlethird hill from layby just south of shielbrae, down to dam path that goes up between them. | robertphillips | 07/01/2018 |
Scenic - with Lynn, Peter, Sarah and Paul, from S, on to Middlethird Hill and back round reservoir. | nix_snilloc | 08/04/2017 |
Ran up and down in 20 minutes from the south. Fairly steep but good path. Good views from the summit and well kept trig point. | Stevend1 | 01/01/2017 |
Here for the trigpoint Sauchie Crag. TP:UK log:

Lovely walk up in the evening light, a good set of geocaches too, great view from the top. YSM322 Sauchie Crag | thejackrustles | 16/03/2016 |
Up via Old Sauchie, then along the craigs and down via the bridge (marked as a ford) over Bannock Burn. | mardypig | 03/08/2015 |
Via linking path from Middlethird Hill. Very enjoyable walk up from that side. | Lindsay M | 29/03/2015 |
I wish I'd read the early log comments. Parked to the S, very unpleasant crossing deep mud tracks and brashings for 200m to get to undisturbed path. If you must climb this in 2015, don't do it from the south. Once beyond the initials mess, a very pleasant walk. | Minto | 02/01/2015 |
Figure of eight walk from bridge over Bannockburn. An excellent walk along the craig edge. | richtea5040 | 22/12/2014 |
Tree felling in progress, usual path blocked. Suggested path by the burn is swampy with no indication of how to rejoin the path beyond the devastation. Super views from crags. | neimcv | 30/11/2014 |
