As Dangerous Dave. Look out for the finger of god, as Charlie called it, both from below, and from the cliff top path.Minto07/04/2023
Took Charlies taxi to Howlin. Up the zigzags at Leit an Aonaich. Fabulous views. Great walk along the ridge and back to accommodation at Glebe Barn. With Jill & Minto.Dangerous Dave07/04/2023
A superb walk with fine views, despite heavy rain. Up from Lageorna on the splendid steep path up to a gully, over the little wall, out onto a grassy area, then path goes right and up onto the moor, crossing a fence. Good path all the way over the top, fine views of Rum, Skye and the mainland all the way. Down the amazing zig-zag path from Leit' an Aonaich, to Howlin, path to Singing Sands (which don't sing in the wet), then grassy cliff top picking up an ATV track just before Laig Bay, which leads to the house below the church then the track back to Lageorna. Sue's B&B there is superb.Gill02/09/2022
From Bay of Laig, up the zigzag path to Dunan Thalasgair, then on a path along the ridge, making a rougher detour to An Cruachan, with a hellish descent through head high bracken and brambles to the road. There must be a better way off than that - otherwise a great route.sclater27/07/2022

On path from Howlin via Leit an Aonaich and the trig point.Winterfloodian01/06/2022
From about 109m before road dips down into Cleadale. Sheep trails through the heather up to new fence, then followed intermittent trails on lower side of fence to a stile, then good trail along the top of the cliff.Topographer5719/09/2021
Monday day trip on a cloudy but dry day. Used bike to access from road. Fine cliff line views hampered with cloud further afield. Found route up through bracken and brambles to heather. Lost path on route down ended up in head high thrash.N.Morters16/08/2021
From the paddock on the right of Legeorna up a steep bracken strewn path and through a gully, then continue on the path to a stile and onwards with sheer drops to the left to reach the summit.Peterb19/07/2021
Running day trip from Mallaig - Mondays give you 5 hours. Round to Grulin then up An Sgurr, down and through the forest to Laig then up Sgorr an Fharaidh before back to the ferry.quadbarrel21/06/2021
Walked up from the pier at Galmisdale then took the path on to the ridge from Cleadale. Along the ridge over the high point, also visiting the trig before a descent off the North end of the ridge and back to Cleadale to stay until the next ferry back to Mallaig.NormanW21/09/2020
Up from Lageorna, near road junction for Cleadale. Great route up. After An Sgurr.PGCE01/08/2019
I camped at the N end of the island and traversed the ridge back to Galmisdale.Chris Peart07/05/2019
Thick mist and strong winds. Straight up from Lageorna. With Vicky and Dad.Cameron Singer04/05/2018
With Cameron and Campbell. Up steep path from Lageorna and then along good path above cliffs. Atmospheric in the mist.Vicky Singer04/05/2018
Took advantage of a break in the weather and even got some reasonable views from the top. Up and down in 65 minutes from Lageorna.Jemma Singer03/05/2018
During a week’s stay on Eigg. Started at NM 47736 88497 next to Lageorna. Straight up a faint path and through a gully onto moorland. Over a stile and good path along top of spectacular cliffs with stunning views of Skye and Rum as well as mainland. Returned same route. Could be easy to miss the path down the gully.Campbell Singer28/04/2018

Left the bikes near Lageorna, then out to zig zag path and up north end of Beinn Buidhe. Trig then top then continued circuit back to bikes. Great scenery.jenx30/08/2016
Cycled up Cleadale. Left bikes by the B&B and walked ro road end and excellent zig zig path up the end of hill. All way back aling ridge collecting the trig and summit (two stones in grass and heather). Pleasant clear day. Back down the direct route to B&B and bikes and cycle back to jetty for ferry.nordicstar30/08/2016
Delightful walk along road, then up to summit and onto TP before finding good path back down. Plenty time between ferries.AndrewFinnimore22/06/2015
