Solo from the bend on the A849. From the track north at the high point I headed up the steep slopes which got increasingly easier with height. 2.5 hours solo return.bolton22/09/2019
Approached from the S from glen more. very steep pull up to the ridge where it lessens. superb day in great weather with fantastic views. descended the same way. One of the steepest hills ive done for sure. Trig Pillar lying on the ground, presumed by a lightning strikeWayne Mac08/08/2019
With Dave Wragg after Sgurr Dearg. Between forestry plantations, up east ridge between burns. Hot and sunny, stiff breeze. Hitched back to car. Rounsfell23/06/2019

Run (in the loosest terms) up the track and had a look in the bothy. Sharp climb to summit with a patch of snow for Tali to have a play in. Misty summit, too a chance and descended to the col direct, traversing sheep trods and making use of the Grassy rakes. Over Beinn Bheag and back to the both. The a 6km tab back down the track. With Debs and Tali.Mountain Goat07/05/2018

Set off from the bend in the road to the south in rain due to our keen companions Kev and Jenny. Followed the path that runs parallel with the river running west to a stile over the deer fence. Steep grass ensured we were soon in the cloud. Luckily the rain stopped and cloud lifted just after we had left the summit.mindlessflogger19/12/2016

Trig revisit. Fine stony summit. Iconic hill - saw it from many directions over the weekend, rising fang-like, although at time of ascent the summit was in cloud (cleared 30 minutes later!). Straightforward steep climb from SE, tussocky at start, then good terrain. Followed ridge SW to the 544m summitRHW25/03/2008

A Hogmanay wander with Shaky during a New Year week in Tobermory. Done from the bend on the A849 near Torness along the forest track & then up the SE ridge. Cold with the view clear to the east & south but not so much in other directions. A fine hill - had originally intended to include Sgurr Dearg too, but abandoned that idea in favour of an early start at the Mishnish...NotReallyABagger31/12/2005

Parked at bend in road underneath RP. Dropped Arran over a 7' deer fence, To bealach and easy angled walk up to a rounded ridge and over tundra stones to top. 13.00.arranc09/06/1993
Alone. I walked from near Torness (Mull) to Beinn Talaidh (762m) via Maol nam Fiadh, returning the same way. It was wet, misty and windy. Trig point on Beinn Talaidh is somewhat away from the summit and is cylindrical concrete. Note added 2016: The Database of British and Irish Hills says that the highest point is 5m E of trig point and not at the cairn 25m SW so my conclusion in 1993 is not correct. I did visit both the trig point and the cairn.pwbellarby27/03/1993
