From Torness after the sub Simm. 3.5 hour solo walk up the Coire Nan Each to the col. 4 miles.bolton02/06/2023
Parked on a bypassed bit of old road at Torness. Up the grassy left side of Coire nan Each, then easily to the summit. Then onto the Corbett.Owen B23/04/2023

Hard going but well rewarding passing by here on a linear walk from Tomsleibhe back to Craignure. The mist cleared up nicely once over on Beinn Bhearnach.Alex C24/03/2023

With Sunny, Sgurr Dearg (G), Dun da Ghaoithe (C), Beinn Talaidh (G) Tough going, steepHuwel09/09/2021
Nice hill. Parked on dead end of old road at Torness, then straightforward steep walk from the ruin on the N side of the road where a faint path leads up the hill. It heads too far N, so cut across to the waterfall. Well worth going up Beinn Bhearnach for interesting, easy going and nice views, then it's an easy stroll to Sgurr Dearg. Descent via the wall, rougher, tedious ground down the coire. Found dry short grass for final descent after heading slightly W from the main stream across several small streams, then gabbro pavements leading to the path.Gill22/06/2021
Climbed with Dun an Gaoithe. Really nice ridge up from the Mam Lirein, with a nice little scramble near the top. Felt like very few others had been that way before (I’m sure they had but they didn’t leave a trace!)Rockdoctor17/08/2020
Through hike from Achnacrois to Torness via masts track, Dun da Ghaoithe and Sgurr Dearg after stashing bicycle at Torness cattle grid. Note the notch across Sgurr Dearg's NE ridge about 30m below its summit. I got up it safely, but only just. The steps are quite simple but the hand holds are weak and there is significant exposure. I would have made whatever detour would have been necessary to avoid descending this notch if my descent route had been the same way.Topographer5720/09/2019
With Dave Wragg after camping on Dun da Ghaoithe. Cloudy but dry. Rounsfell23/06/2019
From SW, nice ascent with outstanding views after a period of sustained dry weather.RobertP29/04/2019
From Torosay via road to the masts and Dun da Ghaoithe. The 6m rock step near the summit is in a small gulley and the ascent was straightforward in dry conditions. Descended to Torness via Beinn Bhearnach and Coire man Each.Winterfloodian29/05/2018
From A849 at Torness.ChrisR15/10/2017
Wet and tiring walk in rain and low cloud from Scallastle to Dun Da Ghaithe, Mainnir nam Fiadh trig, then there and back bealach and Sgur Dearg. Walked out along the three masts road back to Craignure. also had to walk back to Scallastle as left other car key in the Scallastle car. 6 hours.alexmaclennan20/05/2017
A traverse including Sgurr Dearg, Meinnir nam Fiadh, Dun da Ghaoithe, Beinn Thunacaraidh and Beinn Mheadhain and diagonal traverse NE to road.Detoured south around bad step coming off Beinn Dearg, could not see a line from above, might have been more obvious from below. Final descent line had much poor ground, tussocks etc, would not really recommend it, there must be a better way. This apart, a good day.dickscroop14/04/2017
Bus from ferry and climb from south, easy if steep grassy climb, route off to north has bad decent if clag and lack of route knowledge. Scree to right a safer route.TheWicken17/01/2017
Did Dun da Ghaoithe via the track then followed the ridge across to Sgurr Dearg. Rock step just below the summit was fairly easily negotiated. Descended the same way.davidpettit8428/12/2016

Parking space at NM65227 32439 went up over Beinn Bhearnach and round corrie to summit with large cairn. Direct descent. In misty conditions ruined wall provides good handrail much of the way, although note it keeps crossing the streamMartin R21/04/2012

During a New Year week in Tobermory, with Martin66, JC, Shaky & the Hunts. Parked just inside the forestry on A849 at NM663316, walked to edge of forestry & then slogged up the SW slopes of Beinn Bhearnach & then N to Sgurr Dearg. Descended the long E/SE ridge (Beinn Bheag) to vary the descent & then across back underneath Beinn Bhearnach to rejoin the outward route. Like most Mull Grahams, a good hill once the initial rough slogging is out of the way.NotReallyABagger30/12/2010

Solo trip. My father died this morning, though I didn't find out till next day.Invicta1413/10/1999
After staying night in Oban. Solo. I took the 10:00 ferry to Craignure. There was no service bus, but I persuaded the driver of a tour coach to take me to Torness. Near bend of road there is a new track through forest, neither of which was marked on my map. I followed the track, hoping it would take me through the forest, but it ended in the middle. The forest was young, but it had rained heavily in the night, so all drainage ditches and burns were full and overflowing. This made progress difficult and slow. I left the bus at 11:25 and only got to the edge of the forest – not very far – at 12:35. I climbed beside a prominent burn which provided spectacular waterfalls. I reached the summit of Sgurr Dearg. It was very misty, with drizzle.pwbellarby26/07/1998
