From large lay-by at junction to SE.Lindsay M28/03/2021
From SSE, second attempt. Bracken, fallen trees and non existent track. First attempt forgot gaiters and GPS and got no legitimate ticks of the sought kind and two of the unsought kind.Topographer5730/10/2019
From Alloa via Clackmannan. Up from SW. Bracken highest near summit. Spotted big tick crawling up trouser leg at summit and smaller tick embedded once I made it home.campagvelocet25/10/2019
Easy from road to the south. A ride runs directly to summit. Vegetation yet to be a problem, but probably a pain later in the Summer. Attractive woodland.fasgadh27/05/2019
From a small lay-by on the B910 to the SE. Bracken pretty much collapsed so straightforward other than for fallen trees requiring the occasional mini-detour.summitter24/12/2018
Walk from Alloa train station to join track to SW 400m E of Linn Mill, then 400m of neck high bracken to viewless summit in pouring rain. On to Gartmorn.Thearlaichdubh11/11/2018
Not as bad as it lookedhillsman04/05/2018
From minor road to the south, up through trees.robertphillips28/02/2017
From SSE, grassy ride uphill from wall gap, then mapped grassy ride W to summitRHW25/04/2015
No bracken, no problemColin Crawford25/02/2015
Up through the forest from the B road.Play2End19/02/2015
From B910 to S. Parking on S side of road by double gates, or 100m W at gap in wall. Straight up through trees. Major difficulty isn't the trees - it's the bracken growing underneath. Suggest visiting in Winter or Spring, as the summit is covered in bracken. The felled area shown on Google maps is now 10m high! And the track shown on the 1:25K map little more than a grass and bracken strip. The fence is still there around at the summit.Minto28/10/2014
From E Birhill. Lost track dense bracken.chrisbien23/10/2013
From carpark on junc of B910 and A977. Short section of road then good track up side of East Birkhill and left all the way to the summit. Very easy as felling of many trees has meant the tracks have been reinstated. 3km break to a journey.Lynnebeblank
