| Dark with sparking frost and hazy full moon. From mapped track to NE . Forest tracks most of the way. Last section on boggy firebreaks as mapped. Summit area is a clearing with aerial, wooden hut and concrete bases, presumably of old fire tower. . | 5th hill of 9 on a loop from Carsphairn back to Dalry climbing Bardennoch Hill, Gairy Craig, Torrs and Bennan hill then on track climbing via series of rides then brash skirting windfall to reach a grassy knoll that i recorded as being higher than the nearby knoll with transmission tower.
